Disgusting!!!! Growing up on the south side of town I've always enjoyed traditional Mexican Chamoy raspa concoctions. I was excited when I found out there were fruterias close by. But much to my dismay I found that these people couldn't make a chango or any Chamoy flavored treat to save their life. Normally, I would have strawberry snow cone syrup added to my changos to give it a sweet and sour flavor that I often enjoyed since I was a little girl but instead was given a cup of crushed ice and old lime juice. Even after requesting an extra shot of strawberry syrup the flavor was buried under tons of lime juice with a hint of pickle and a pile of salt. I've never had a problem with someone making changos like this in the past and was disappointed that someone with a storefront would have such a difficult time putting this together. And that was just my order. My husband ordered a pineapple fruit cup with traditional Lucas powder but instead received old sunbleached pineapples, and even older lime juice, raw salt, and tasteless chili powder. We were also less intrigued by all the flies setting up residence inside of their establishment hovering over their produce. So If you find yourself on West Ave in need of tasty treats, and tangy & cool refreshments that we all grew up on and love so much...keep driving. You're better off chasing down the neighborhood ice...

Went there for a quick bite and the food was great. Everything is well priced for the portions. The service was great considering the fact that they were closing 20min after our arrival. We hadn't even noticed when we arrived and they all treated us so well and without any sort of rush that we didn't realize it until we stepped out. That type of service is always well...

The aguasfrescas are always fresh and delicious. The fruit cups are always changing, so there is no consistency with those, other than they have always been savory. The prices are absolutely great for what you get. I always recommend this place to friends. If I had to complain about anything... it's the parking. Sometimes, it's frustrating the way...
