BVOCAL4LOCAL UPDATE... 3rd visit today in 4 days. Sorry, not sorry. And planning on taking another friend tomorrow. No judgement lol
Home of the magic tortillas. I hope I'm not jinxing it. I've been a few times now and those tortillas were wonderful. The friend I went with the second time took one bite and said oh my God these tortillas are fantastic. I can't believe that friend ever doubted me lol. I've tried several different tacos now and haven't been disappointed once. I'm not a coffee connoisseur but it's a good cup for me. And the service, you will not believe how friendly these people are. Both times that I went with two different friends, both said the same thing as we left, that they could not believe how friendly the staff was. My second friend said they actually made you feel like family. And they do. Customer after customer came in and were greeted like family. I felt that way even on my second visit. All I know is that homemade flour tortilla is my mom's and my grandmother's tortilla. And the homemade corn tortillas were Grandma's for sure. This is the proverbial stack of tortillas and a stick of butter sort of dream. It is a little Jewel of a surprise in a simple shopping center. Great food. Great prices. And...
Read moreIn June during my girls trip we accidentally found this place and OMG it was delicious, and I don’t use that word regularly lol. The food, we all got different things and all 4 of use were taken back by how freakn good it was. The waitress was so kind and although we’re Hispanic our Spanish isn’t great and in San Antonio restaurants can be intimidating because so many of the mom and pop places all speak Spanish but there they spoke both. Last week I accidentally found this place again while looking for a bakery. I took my kids there and the table was completely quiet lol they had never been to a Mexican restaurant where the tortilla tasted that good. I could probably say they’re better than my grandmas. Highly recommend this place. The food, the people, the atmosphere. Let’s not forget to mention the price… beyond reasonable and truth be told underpriced. It is something I have saved and written down now. Anytime we travel to San Antonio this is definitely one the list of...
Read moreWe've just started coming here and I wish we had found it earlier! It's a small quaint mexican café with Coca-Cola memorabilia all over the place. We've gotten breakfast and lunch and niether one disappointed. If you like ACTUAL homemade tortillas this is the place to choose! All the staff are amazing! Greet you when you come in and say, "bye thank you!" as you leave. Idk if the blonde lady at the register is the owner or maybe just the manager but she's the sweetest one there. They're not perfect, they are only human, but they are one of the best tasting and friendliest cafés we've been to. I guarantee the few bad reviews to this place are from the ones that are just impossible to please, impatient or maybe they just have different tastes pallets. Who knows 🤷🏽♀️ but we'd give this café 10 starts...
