J Anthony's Seafood — Restaurant in San Antonio

SKKKUUURRTTTT....We never ate here before....lemme tell ya....we drove by and my wife said I always wanted to eat there...SKKKKUUURRRT....I pulled right over and turned around all spontaneous like....wheels squealing...we were greeted with a smile by staff soon as we came in... The had some good tunes playing and the establishment was clean except that mural in the back corner base boards...other than that it was clean. The food was delicious ..we had the same Antonio special that came with chicken fish n shrimp... we also tried out the shrimp quesadillas...YUM...catfish n fries were good, corn n mash a little bland, bread slices were fresh, condiment bar filled n clean, catfish burger was awesome n filling. Plates averaged about $10 but very well portioned. Enough to take home to our teenage son. The manager there named Johnny was very accommodating. He checked on all the guests and was billingual. He also let my daughter feed the fish there....they have a huge fish tank with beautiful fish inside. My daughter was so excited to feed them...usually hard for us to get her to sit down and eat but the food was so good we hardly heard a peep from her...we had a good visit there and left content. thanks for the hospitaly Johnny we appreciate your service. So I was disgusted and disappointed with this place, me and my family went in and ordered and sat down and waited about 25mins then we got our food and about 5mins into eating my daughter tells me, "Mom look what's on the table" I look over at the table next to us and there is a roach just walking along the edge of the table, ugh it was so gross, well for me and my mom the min we saw it, we lost our appetite, and then I look again and now there is another with it and they are just walking all over the table, I go to tell the manager or whoever he was and he gives me this look like he is so surprised to hear what I'm saying and proceeds to tell me it's bc it's been raining and it brings em in. Uh no sir it wasn't the rain, this place has roaches! So I tell him I'd like a refund bc I had just started to eat and now I've lost my appetite, he said he was unable to do that and he can replace my order, I said no thanks and we wouldn't be coming back and I was gonna review it and let all y'all know not to eat here unless you want to risk eating something that roaches have come in contact with. Also bought a piece of cake for me and my pregnant daughter and that cake was...

I rated it a 2 stars! I havent been here in a couple of months.I understand it's lent season and super busy! But that doesn't excuse them for forgetting almost everything in my order! I placed an online order, got confirmation and a time. When I got there it wasn't ready understandable. They gave me my food I went to my car to double check my order all I had was fries and shrimp no fish! Went back to the window to let them know. Took a couple of more minutes to get my fish, again got my order and checked it, none of my appetizers were in the bag! I went inside instead and told them " I shouldn't be coming back and fourth to get my missing items" low and behold the girl packing the orders was like " the order is right here" I'm like so they knew they didn't place the bag inside my order. Only one person apologized for the mistakes that were made. Get home and the gallon of tea taste like day old tea! We ended up throwing it out. Paid 60 bucks for all the...
