Wapo Taco — Restaurant in San Antonio

After getting excited at what is a great looking menu and friendly service, both me and my buddy were pretty disappointed with most of the food. First the good: beef fajita was tasty, and the pastor (which does not look like your normal pastor) was just good. We both agreed the birria was weak in flavor, thickness, and meat. Almost tasted like reheated from frozen. I was really disappointed with my carne guisada, and the flour tortilla looked and tasted like a generic store bought tortilla that never even touched the comal or grill. The corn tortillas are also store bought, but tastier than flour. This is the second time I have had tacos from here and have been really disappointed. My overall impression after 3 visits is good. Food is better than average, especially when you are able to add your own zing with their salsa selection (upon request). Seating capacity is limited given the layout, but restaurant and restrooms were clean. Service was good and food prep time was fast. The is located in an area that doesn't' exactly get a large flow of traffic. It isn't the type of place where people happen to be driving by and decide to stop in and dine. Stumbled upon this taco place while staying at hotel nearby. I ordered country sausage for two along with eggs/bacon and eggs sausage. The country sausage was delightful. The young lady that took my order was apparently there by herself. When I pulled up to the window after ordering, it took a minute before she came to the window to take my money. A few minutes later she brought out my meal, with a smile and great attitude. Food was great and I will visit again next time. Prices are...
