Local Health Market — Restaurant in San Antonio

I cannot say enough about Local Health Market....! Sooo...I discovered Local Health about five years ago by a personal trainer at my gym. I homeschool my daughter and we are both very busy models and actresses. We are also involved in several extracurricular activities. Home schooling in itself, keeping up with my house, & cooking were putting my whole family over capacity....very stressed!!! My husband works Real Estate for an extremely high volume builder and had no time to leave his office. He was tired of just having a protein shake every day or boring can soup. ... ...Juggling the meals and making sure we also ate all our nutritional macros was tedious, time consuming and exhausting... at one point I even tried to do my own meal prep planning...long story short...it was extremely expensive, time consuming & exhausting... The clean up wasn't fun either! We ended up having the same meal almost every day of the week (boring) because I didn't have the desire or time to do a variety of different recipes. There was also the whole keeping meals fresh in the fridge issue. I was throwing food out constantly. 6 months later I threw in the towel due to exhaustion,mmmanagement...look no further in San Antonio then Local...

The holy grail for Celiacs. I have never left a review for anything ever. I have really bad celiacs damage. I've been hospitalized and have intestinal damage which means any slip ups cause serious issues for me (internal bleeding and inflammation). I'm just beyond impressed, completely blown away. This place goes so far beyond expectations. I was so happy to eat a good meal that was well made, to scroll a full menu and have the option to ear anything on it - I HAD to call them and just thank them for existing as dramatic as that sounds. Food is so stressful for me and many times I've ordered food other places and they have made mistakes or not take the seriousness of my celiacs into account. Those mistakes have really cost me immense pain and resulted in ER trips and liquid diets. I finally have this awesome go to place. I'll be making this my special treat place to order from weekly. My doctor told me to call Sarah(co owner/nutrionist). Wasn’t going to because I was tired of disappointment. Wow! So glad I did. From the first call with her hubby(co owner) to walking out that first day with a plan, food and HOPE, I was in. I have had in person and online support. I have a plan that is easy to do. I have a store(Local Health Market) that provides delicious, ready to go organic meals, wonderful organic smoothies and juices, supplements and staff that really go out of their way to help me meet my health goals. I have had gut issues for years and have struggled with my weight all my life. I have never felt better than I have these last few months. My gut issues are gone.
