I order my food and drinks with my family… because my mother loves the food there I didn’t fuss.The orange juice was discolored and tasted soar .. I asked if I could get another drink and they said they would still have to charge me for the drink because the expiration date was good . The staff is so friendly and the tortillas... THE TORTILLAS! The huevos rancheros are mild, but the salsa verde hits a special place in my heart and stomach. Their beans are flavorful, smell great, and taste like childhood memories. I am a stickler for enchiladas, and theirs are where I set my bar; not greasy at all, the guisada is that perfect balance of thick but not too thick, with a flavor that is just perfect along side the beans and the rice. Marys smells, feels, and tastes like I am walking into my mamo's kitchen again, and those flour tortillas...

Mary's Snack Bar & Cafe in one of those 5 star hole-in-the-wall restaurants you will be happy you took a friend or client to. I've been invited there two times by a good friend and both times the food was some of THE BEST short-order Mexican food I have eaten and I haved in San Antonio all my life.
