I’ve come here a few times over the last year for breakfast tacos and I’ve always had a good experience. The breakfast tacos are smaller but have better flavor and freshness than Mary’s Tacos down the road for around the same price. The last time I came here, about two months ago, I got the enchiladas with tomatillo sauce and unfortunately they were not very good. I came today and asked about the mini taco plate. It’s actually not a meal so no rice and beans so I skipped that and backed all the way up to my safety; breakfast tacos. I was the only customer who ordered and ten minutes later…no word…no food so I chimed in to the man who was replenishing the items at what looked like a self serve bar and inquired as to the status of my order. He said it was coming. I looked over the counter into the kitchen and the cooks weren’t prepping my tacos! No one was approaching me or reassuring that I was any kind of priority amongst all of their other priorities! They were doing stuff…just not any stuff I paid for! A couple of minutes later I cancelled my order and left. The takeaway: not sure what’s going on at Metro Tacos, but when it gets expressed in indifference that’s where my business with the...

I haven't had machacado tacos in a few years, since my friend back in Houston introduced me to them. I was looking for breakfast to go up by Bandera and Prue and remembered Metro Tacos is there. I had been once before- they are only open for breakfast and lunch, so their timing often doesn't line up with my eating out. But it did this time and I saw the machacado tacos on the menu and ordered a couple.

The flavors were great- the eggs mellowing out the hot pepper, machada, and onions while still giving some kick and the machada gives the whole taco a satisfying body that is missing with many other egg breakfast tacos.

So if you want yummy breakfast or lunch tacos (carne asada and carne guisada are both tasty as well), head on over and give...

I have been looking for REAL Mexican flavors for a while now.. and let me tell you it’s been a painfully disappointing journey until TODAY when my bf and I decided to hit this spot for a quick bfast/brunch. I was honestly BLOWN AWAY by their Chilaquiles Taco (tastes like the real deal in CDMX). Also had machacado a la mexicana taco and egg and potato taco - both perfectly seasoned (something you almost never see in Mexican food spots around here). The habanero sauce is fire 🔥. The owner was super cool with us and the food was served fast & hot. I am seriously surprised this place is not viral yet. Will be coming back very soon, even if it means driving a few...

A cool little spot off Bandera for tacos and empanadas. One thing that sets this pace apart from others is the tacos are not very greasy. I ordered a potato and egg, barbacoa, and chorizo and egg taco. The latter two tend to be greasy but these were not entirely bad. I also ordered a caramel empanada which was lightly sweetened and a fine ending to a great breakfast.

I order chilaquiles verdes with chicken very disappointing the food was super cold No refill of my coffee. Been here before had better service. I will never return. After calling them I request a refund I was very surprised how apologetic the person was Like I said been there before and the level of customer service always been top notch I appreciate the outcome..
