Getting too pricy. Food is good but you can get better or same for less. $13.00 for a quesadilla that was the size of a small pizza. Maybe even smaller. Won't be going back for a while. Sorry this senior can't afford y'all. Feb. 1, 2025 Had Chalupas Compuesta. They were great and the service was great!! Davin was very attentive and friendly. I enjoy how they serve chips and salsa before you get your meal. The salsa is always warm which is different and delicious!
2nd review on Dec 27. I went with friends for happy hour. Sat at bar area. The waiter there, Manny was great!! Very friendly and helpful. The nacos were good. They put serano peppers on them as garnish so if you don't like them you need to remember to ask them not to put them on. They don't offer jalapenos. Had 2 margaritas. They were also good. The place was cold. Guess that's better than being too hot. I had to put on my sweater. 3rd review Well, I went back to Pericos today. This time with my sister and niece. My sister is only 3 years older. She wanted to pay for my lunch. She's always sweet that way! Well, when we first had our waitress take our orders I told her 3 separate checks. So when my sister asked her to put hers and mine together I told the waitress, she's my big sister and always taking care of me! I'm sorry if it's a problem to change the ticket! She laughed and said, oh no it's fine! I hope you won't be mean to me, but I thought you were her Mama! I thought you were 3 generations sitting here!! šµāš«šÆš I just laughed and my sister looked at her with her mouth open saying, oh noooo!!! How could you think that!!??? I said, it's ok, I won't be mean to you!! I just laughed!! WOW!!! If I was a waitress I'd have just kept that thought to myself!!! How mean!!!! Thanks alot Pericos for having such opinionated...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAt the beginning of the meal, we asked the waitress (Nicole) the size of burrito in order to accurately order for a teenager because we know the term "burrito" can vary from restaurant to restaurant. Nicole told us they are small. We ordered 3 bean and cheese burritos. Well, first off they came with more than beans and cheese. We didn't complain despite this kid only liking bean and cheese. This teenager only made it through 1 of these very large burritos and a little into the second. We were charged $10.99 a burrito make his order alone $33!!!! The price was not clear, otherwise, we would have never ordered like this. When we questioned it they made it out to be our fault. The waitress took no responsibility and called the manager. The manager (Jose) offered a discount but not to take the extras off. He was rude and condescending the entire time. After a little more back and forth, he said if he took the leftover burritos back than he would take the extra off. Fine. We never wanted that much food to begin with! We had a large group so in general we had to wait a very long time (understandable), barely got refills, had to ask at least 3 times for Ketchup for the kids, and waited 20 minutes for ice water. So all things considered, we were very patient, but this was the straw that broke the camel's back. We were made to feel terrible for even questioning it. It was embarrassing the way they handled the whole situation. Honestly, from the beginning you could tell they didn't want to seat our party. Most likely because they were closing early for the holiday. We got there at 12 and they closed at 3pm. Therefore, if you are looking for a family friendly restaurant, do not go here!!!! You will feel rushed, ignored, and shamed for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEdited to add: we all now have food poisoning. So thats just great. I wish I could give no stars. Edited again: I posted on Facebook about the food poisoning my family got from here only to recieve soooo many comments saying this place is commonly known as food poisoning central. Any reviews giving 5 stars are friends and family or paid for. Run.
This place is a dud. The atmosphere is good, and the homemade tortillas are good. The salsa is ok but it literally has NO spice. Not even black pepper. Its just tomatoes and cilantro. The rest of the food is clearly frozen and canned. The beans we get with the salsa plate is a different texture, color, and taste. Clearly homemade while the refried beans you get with your meal are canned. You can literally taste the metallic can taste. As you can see my husband loved the homemade beans. The canned beans not at all. The chicken for the fajitas was the same as the Tyson fajita chicken I can buy at HEB, and it came out in a sizzling pan which is great and all, but the chicken was on top of the onions which arrived BLACK from how burnt they were and the chicken was cold. Also why no peppers with the fajitas when it states peppers on the menu? The rice is poorly made and all mashed together with no seasoning whatsoever. My husband's enchiladas were about as flavorful as a piece of white bread, the beef inside was the worst quality ground beef you can get, taco bell would have been better. Even the sauce for his enchiladas was canned, and it literally looked like watered down ketchup.
I should have known by the fact that you have to pay for chips and salsa the food would be bad. A good Mexican restaurant won't charge you for that.
Overall, just avoid. Its not at...
