This place is comfortably cozy. The beautiful Proprietress is a joy and brings an infectious energy to everyone around her. The food is fantastic and the coffee was superlative! I visited on a Saturday afternoon while my wife and son were getting their hair cut a few miles away. I ordered a 16oz Americano that boasts four shots of rich, velvety espresso. I added half-and-half and a couple Splenda packets for a perfect sweet, creamy, robust flavor. While the Barista was prepping my drink The Proprietress gifted me an afternoon treat of their fresh Biscotti. Neither the coffee nor the Biscotti disappointed. Such a nice, yummy, unexpected treat. The atmosphere is very cozy with a dark, warm color scheme and eclectic pops of color in the curios and gifts available on the perimeter walls. The interior has great potential, however it was quite cluttered and tight in places. It looked like perhaps there is some transition taking place with odd pieces of office furniture, a large printer box and misc cables and odds-n-ends that detracted from the experience. I'm fairly confident this is purely a transition that was in progress because it's clear that The Proprietress has a keen eye for fashion and design. Looking forward to returning sometime soon and seeing what, if any, changes have been made. Regardless of this observation, the establishment is wonderful and I wouldn't hesitate to return.

Olmos Pluma – A Much-Needed Gem in San Antonio San Antonio just got a serious upgrade in its coffee scene with Olmos Pluma. From the moment you step in, the aesthetic and atmosphere make it clear—this isn’t just another coffee shop; it’s an experience. I had the “Joker” matcha, an iced matcha infused with chamomile lavender and topped with a blueberry cold foam. The floral and fruity notes blended seamlessly, making for a refreshing and unique take on matcha. As a bonus, I was graciously offered a cortado, and I can confidently say it was one of the best I’ve ever had—perfectly balanced, rich, and smooth. For food, I tried the “Storyline” sandwich, a fully customizable option that felt like something straight out of a five-star brunch spot. The presentation was stunning, and every bite was packed with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Beyond the menu, the staff was welcoming and knowledgeable, enhancing the overall experience. The wait time was minimal, and the carefully curated vibe of the space made it feel like exactly what San Antonio needed—a spot that effortlessly blends specialty coffee, elevated food, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. If you’re looking for a new go-to café that takes both coffee and cuisine seriously, Olmos Pluma is a must-visit.

I’ve had both pleasant and not-so-pleasant experiences here. That said, this review is meant as constructive feedback because I genuinely love this spot—the location and ambiance are great. However, the one area that could really use improvement is the quality of the actual coffee. When they first opened, I visited the week of open and was so impressed by how delicious my drink was. I’m an avid coffee explorer here in town so I’m not just a “sweet drink” lover. The latte was so balanced and they had a homemade blueberry syrup that was wonderful. However, now, every time I’ve gone, it’s never tasted the same, the shots taste either burned or watered down, and it’s never just a “good cup”. It tastes very much like it’s being made poorly. I hope this place finds a barista who KNOWS their stuff to run the place because that’s why I can’t convince myself to visit even more regularly. The place is so beautiful and the concept is needed here in SA, I just hope they fix their drinks :( My attached photo: Left photo is the very first time I visited, I ordered a blueberry latte. The right photo is the exact same order, tasted so burned and strong, was just a bad cup.

I can't say enough amazing things about Erin and Olmos Perk! We rented Olmos Perk this past Saturday for my daughter's birthday and I have to say it was the most amazing party I've had for any of my kids.

First I'm going to start off with the venue. Olmos Perk has great parking! The lot is large and there is plenty of space to park. There is a patio in the front of the building for this coffee shop with umbrellas for shade. This coffee stop is right out of Friends but with a Glam/Texas twist. The setup inside is basically small to large tables and all types of chairs. It really is the Central Perk of Texas! We felt so comfortable and the party felt like I had this in my own home. There was a spot for everyone, from the introverts to extroverts! Everyone was able to find a place to hang out.

We had looked at 4 other places to host my daughter's party and besides the venue, what really sold me was Erin (the owner). She is so bubbly and fun and within 5 mins I was already telling my husband that I wanted to have the party here. She was the most amazing host. She handled all the apps, food, drinks, desserts and more! Throughout the whole party she made sure that I had something to drink and eat, she took care of all my guest and went above and beyond. Some of the kids didn't want to eat and she made them a special tray of sandwiches! They devoured the tray! She also made sure that the music was flowing and had board games available for the kids to play. She even started to decorate for us when we were running late. She was the BEST host and I would recommend to have your party at her place even just to experience her hospitality!

The food was all perfect! I had a Paris themed party and she nailed it with the afternoon tea setup. She even made pink watermelon aguas frescas for all of my guest. There was this large charcuterie board with all the little extras; jam, fruits, meats and cheeses. She made an amazing artichoke and spinach dip that was coming out hot and my guest devoured it! She had all the little finger sandwiches plus some extra goodies.

If you are looking to plan your next event, really give Erin a call and go check out Olmos Perk. Plus the coffee is...

Upon arrival a woman greeted us and explained everything they have to offer which was wonderful! We ordered all beverages in the 16 oz size. My husband ordered an iced caramel and vanilla breve, my son ordered an iced almond joy latte, my daughter ordered an iced caramel and vanilla latte and I ordered an iced sugar free vanilla americano. A man made all of the drinks. When the breve was done I went to the counter to get it and it was 12oz hot breve. I told him it was supposed to be an iced 16 oz breve. He said, "I only make hot breves." We ordered it as iced and 16 oz size and was not told it couldn't be iced nor did he offer to make us something else. He then made the rest of the drinks and called us up to get them and kept calling the name AJ. I was confused as to why we were called AJ as none of us are AJ, I just assumed the gal who took our order thought that was one of our names even though we didn't give a name. We took the rest of the drinks and sat down to wait for our food. The coffee in my iced americano was burnt. My sons almond joy latte was just a plain iced latte and his cup said "AJ iced latte". I wasn't going to take his coffee up to be corrected due to how we were treated with the breve. It then dawned on me why the man kept calling us AJ....the man took the almond joy abbreviation the gal wrote on the cup as my son's name and not as almond joy. I understand this error was an innocent mistake, and if he wasn't so rude about the breve I would have asked for the coffee to be redone. Also, if they are going to use abbreviations all employees should know what they mean. We were never asked how the coffee or food was. The sandwiches we good, nothing amazing, but good. Customer service needs improved. I was disappointed since the reviews I had read were so good. Very cute and clean atmosphere inside...

In short? I Really enjoyed everything. In detail? Read on 🙂🙂

I found this location on Google (of course). I was looking for a quiet coffee shop to work from today with a great atmosphere. Although I didn’t get the quiet I certainly got the atmosphere. I ordered a Turmeric Latte (because how often is that on a menu) I love Golden Milk and I know there is an art to making this drink with balance. The owner suggested “soup and a scoop” for my lunch (scoop of her homemade chicken salad and tortilla soup) I over heard her talking about how she doesn’t put onion in her chicken salad.. I was already dreading my decision lol I mean green onion and chicken salad are the milk and cookies of lunch😩. Time went on and I didn’t get a drink or meal for almost an hour. I wasn’t too worried but calmly reminded the owner that I hadn’t received my drink or meal. She stated that she had forgotten and was genuinely apologetic. Now this is not a bad thing because I saw her spinning about with a small lunch group of demanding older ladies. My food was brought to me with urgency. What do you know? This was the best ONION-LESS CHICKEN SALAD I’ve trusted my taste buds to eat! The combination of flavors was a great experience! The soup was full of flavor as well it reminded me of my mom’s veggie soup. I love to see fresh chopped veggies and seasonings in my soup! I really enjoyed this experience. Small local businesses are the heart of the community! I didn’t mind waiting and even being forgotten because I saw how hard she worked to satisfy customers. After being offered a complimentary muffin and assuring her I was okay and understood... Today of all days (Mardi Gras) for a New Orleans native homesick and craving king cake .. I was given a complementary cinnamon pastry which after the first bite reminded me of home and satisfied...
