I want to like it, I really do. The aesthetic is cute! But I felt a bit out of place as soon as I stepped in. Maybe because it wasn’t super diverse? But I gave it a chance and still ordered a coffee. When I asked if they had straws, the cashier was clearly condescending when she answered “no, you can drink out of the cup as it is. It has a whole for that”, as if I was not aware.
I asked for a straw, knowing it’s not eco friendly, because I cannot stain my teeth as I just got a procedure. I was already embarrassed asking for one as it was but that was humiliating 😭 also, the latte was priced at $11. I don’t know if they added anything extra bc I did not ask for extras. But $11 for a drink that’s mostly just milk seems excessive even for a local business.
Additionally, our friend asked the cashier “is this gluten free?” And the cashier responded very rudely again “isn’t all oat milk gluten free…”. A yes or no would suffice. I don’t understand the need for disrespect. So disappointing. YALL GO TO VICE...
Read moreI REALLY wanted to like this place. I’ve given it multiple chances to redeem themselves, but EVERY time I went in the barista NEVER greeted me. I thought maybe it was just one barista, but no, it is every one that works there. When you go to order, they act like you’re annoying them (like, sorry, I interrupted you scrolling on your phone). The half and half carafe is disgusting- it’s usually warm with chunks of milk on the spout and when I point it out and ask for the cartoon instead, they give me an evil look (this is every time I’ve gone in here). Is one of the criteria to be hired here to be unfriendly? It just baffles me. I will never go here again. I really wanted to support this local business, but, I just can’t. When I talk to other people who have tried this place out, they all agree with how uninviting...
Read moreWhen it comes to the coffee, the drinks are solid and enjoyable. While not a mind-blowing, "best I've ever had" kind of experience, the quality is good and the unique botanical syrups are a nice touch that sets their menu apart.
