I went in with a party of 10 and when we were ready to pay we were told that we had to all pay together. Even though we told the host that we were sitting together but paying separate.

When I told this to the cashier, she asked around if anyone was told that I was going to pay separate and everyone denied ever being told that.

Upon my frustration, I requested the receipt, so that I can attempt to divide the check in my table myself. And the ticket was NOT detailed at all!!!

It read like this:

3.40 Comida

9.99 Comida

3.50 Comida

3.50 @ 4 Comida

IT was so confusing!!! And undetailed. We had no idea whos was who’s, so we just decided to split the entire check evenly. On top of that, they charged us a fee for using a card and not cash. Nobody informed us of the credit card fee charge.

They also charged the tip on the receipt. And nobody there spoke English!! I was voicing my concerns and opinions and just kept getting told “no seperamos los cheques en los fin de semanas”

Even when I asked “ok so then what do we do?” I just got the same statement back “no seperaramos los cheques en los fin de semanas”

I felt like I was talking to a brick wall, I just kept getting the same response even when I had questions.

Also I saw NO SIGN that said they don’t split the checks on weekends. I was also not informed by any host or water.

The food was great, but the headache they gave me...

Just had a bad experience tonight, then it went from bad to worse. We ordered an asada torta to go with no cheese, came home, it had cheese. Called restaurant, cashier and person in charge start an argument that we didn't say we didn't want cheese, like wow. So, I take it back and to my surprise they start saying we didn't mention no cheese again. Who argues with the customer? I wait while they replace with new torta, come home thinking they replaced it but NOPE, they just picked out cheese b/c at bottom of torta it still has cheese. I call back, and lady starts another argument with me, she then says well sometimes foods get mixed in refrigerator and so it might have cheese. I told her lady that should never happen, especially at a restaurant. I ask for manager, she says they don't have one, ok give me name of owner, she says they don't have one. I ended going back for my money and will probably not...

The place was good and good atmosphere but the bad and worst thing there is the service, we waited to order and attitude came with that which to our surprize was unusual. We then got our food but ran out of tortillas so we asked for more and never got them so we waited, halfway eating and we asked another lady and the same until a thrird lady listened to us after 10 minutes we got them but the first one got mad that we told her we had already asked someone else, so she replied anyway its not my table!! When paying i was asked if all was good but when was gona tell her what had happened the first waitress came behind me and started arguing why she didnt help us and I was super disappointed eventhough having the owner sitting in the back and not observing those flaws. I really didnt like the fact that we got there with visitors from out of town and for them to see this poor service!! No thank you...

Food was okay, they have a huge menu that has a ton of options so great place for everyone to enjoy what they like. I also thought the prices were reasonable & affordable! I didn’t think the food was anything special, we had bean and cheese nachos to start, sopes de carnitas & chicharrón, quesabirrias, gordita de picadillo, and a side of rice and beans. Great menu and prices but I wouldn’t come back as a regular as the food was not bad but not super spectacular either. The service was not great either, they took over 20 minutes to take our order after our drinks arrived. The atmosphere was normal until some musicians arrived and started playing music for tips and they were so loud we couldn’t even continue our conversation. Not bad overall, give it a try!

Went here twice during our stay in SA. While we didn’t scratch the surface for Mexican cuisine, this place delivered. I was drawn in by the quesadillas with huitlacoche, and it was delicious. We also enjoyed carne asada, barbacoa de borrego and chilango. Caught the tail end of the mariachi band the first night/afternoon. Service was great, food was delivered quickly and hot. Great portions and reasonable prices. Side note: we haven’t taken Spanish since junior high, and the servers we had weren’t well versed in English…but we happily broke thru the language barrier and had a wonderful time! Recommended.

Went in on a Saturday with family(group of 5 ) after looking up Mexican restaurants. When you walk in, you are greeted, then you can head down and sit wherever you want. Menu has prices and photos of food. Ended up getting the enchiladas mexicanas and I'm glad I did. Family members orders inclided: coctel de camaron, huarache and tacos. Food was exceptionally great and came out at a good time. The lemonade was perfect not too tarty or overly sweet. Glad we found this spot to keep it in the books whenever we come to San Antonio again
