Tacos Betos — Restaurant in San Antonio

The food was terrible. Got two orders of tacos (caprichos) - each with 3 Bistec and 2 Trompo $9/each, an order of loaded french fries @ $6.50, and beans @1.50.

The tacos are served on a thin bed of cheese on mini-taco tortillas. There was an unnecessary overload of meat spread all over the plate on top of flat tortillas where you have to manevuer the tortilla to shape it into a taco. The meat was overcooked to a crisp, and it tasted like the oil was way too hot and was burning the meat. The tacos were extremely greasy, the bistec and trompo meat had almost no flavor, and tasted like burnt oil.

The fries had the type of cheese they put on nachos from like a baseball stadium or that type of event, and they had a superflous amount of bistec on them to the point that it's just wastefull. The fries seamed like the bulk cheap frozen type.

The beans were the only item that tasted good and seemed appropriately priced considering quantity and taste, but they had bits of hot-dog, which I personally do not like.

Will not eat here again. Would suggest to find another place for mini tacos. 1 star because I cannot give less than one, and also, the...

The food here is amazing it's so good, the cooks in the back are amazing, you guys need to put out a tip jar for the cooks in the back and not for the women in the front because they are so cold and bitter and just seem to not want to be bothered at all, they even seem upset when you ask them for something simple like lemon, I have been in the restaurant business my whole life, these women don't even smile while u order, or even make u feel welcome, as a restaurant owner this place needs work but has INCREDIBLE potential if...

Honestly, the place was as they said. Full of flies I could not eat without having to scare of the flies. I ordered the trompo tacos, caprichosa mixta and my wife got the bistec and everything was burnt! Felt like we were eating crispy tripas. Alos tacos are full of oil when you eat the tacos you feel a splash in your mouth of oil and worst of all tacos are flavorless. Hopefully they get on their A game wish...
