Rocky's Taco House — Restaurant in San Antonio

I've always loved Rockies and I grew up with Rockies add a very horrible experience this evening which is the 10th of the 12th 10th 2024 I went in to order some food and I took the register because it was to go I proceeded to ask multiple times about getting extra salsa at least three to four different times even explaining that I would pay for the salsa when I proceeded to pick up my order there was an issue with the amount of sauces I asked for even though previously I asked four different times if they would be an issue I'd rather pay for it on top of tipping them with no loudness or with no obscene anything as if someone who personally works with food and understand that people have grievances or misunderstandings they proceeded to tell me that I didn't pay for it mind you the security guard I had already approached me and asked me if I was okay as I was sitting and waiting for my order and I responded saying that no I am fine I'm just hungry and waiting for my order as I was discussing with the ladies he proceeded to come up and tell me good evening dismissing any conversation that I was havingissues as I once again was trying to explain that I rather pay for the salsa that I asked for than to have any problems mind you there was five incoherent people that came in behind me yelling and being loud and making a ruckus as in I was by myself and sat and waited for my food quietly and I was approached more than the people that were loud and came in drunk and making a ruckus I love Rockies I give Rockies the most up respect as a person of minorities and as a person that's come in multiple times throughout this year alone and it's ordered with my fiance and never had any problems this is the second occasion where I've come in by myself and ask for extra salsa that I'm willing to pay for and it becomes a complete problem once again as I say I love the food I have no problem with the food but when somebody is willing to pay for extra salsa that they ask for I feel that if I'm tipping and being up most respectful that should not be an issue if I asked for extra sausage when I continually being told that I have to pay for it and I'm willing to pay for it. once again I love Rockies I have no problem with the food I just feel as a personal thing for me that the service is biased once again for African-American male that's been up most respectful to everyone in an establishment I feel when I come in living in this area that I am treated less than and at 2024 going into 2025 we should not only be United but respect each other as people I am not expecting compensation or anything of that matter if I am willing to pay for something and I asked to pay for it it shouldn't involve a security guard approaching me like I'm doing...

This place is nice...not in My top spots but it is a known place for mexican food. I recall every time we would eat here we would leave with item bought from someone who approached us with stolen items. Aside from that the food here is okay...on this particular visit i was with a friend and her mother. We walked in and I noticed another friend of mind from back in the day. I went over to say I began to notice she hadn't seen me walk in so as I approached her I asked like a waitress would "is everything okay" as she looks at me she noticed I was not the waitress! But we said hi and I left her to finish what looked like a mexican plate of cheesy goodness wrapped in the lil red blankets of corn tortillas. I almost order the same thing and I probably should have cause the Plato al carbon wasn't hitting the spot for me although the chips salsa was greatly appreciated and the green table salsa helped out as well I did leave with my mouth burning a bit. I love me a good burn to enjoy. I don't like the oates they use they seem so old and cheap but I guess they don't care about things like that. I know for some people they enjoy seeing this plates it gives the sense of I'm not paying to much but it make me feel like I'm eating cheap nasty food that just me though. I'm just sharing my opinion and not to make anyone upset. I ate for under 10 dollars left full and had water to drink. My friends mom ordered a brisket taco and she wasn't too happy to ask to send the taco back to be reheated cause the tortillas was cold to the tough then the tortilla was really big not that it wasn't nice but the meet didn't equally meet up with the size of the taco I unfortunately do not have a photo but I'm sure you can imagine this nice looking tortilla barley filled with brisket mind you she had to take out 2 large chunks that she was not going to eat cause they were pieces of fat so it was as if she had taken out a lot and her taco didn't look so full after that. But we were hungry and we ate. God bless. Let's speak up and help them out so customers will leave and waiting ti return here. This is a place I would be very sad...

Worst experience ever!!! I went here with 2 of my friends. It was horrible. The picadillo taco that I ordered was over seasoned. Our sweet teas lacked tea. All we tasted was sugar. My girl friend ordered the mini tacos. The little meat that it had was over cooked with a bad flavor. The rest was cartilage and fat. My guy friend ordered steak ranchero. It was served with no Ranchero sauce. The meat tasted as if it had freezer burn and was old. It was literally gray on the inside. He didn't realize it until after he took a bite. He also ordered coffee. The coffee tasted as if the coffee pot was dirty. The coffee tasted and looked like dirty water. He spoke with a lady. She came to our table to look at the food. She was rude and had a bad attitude. The guy motioned to the security to watch my guy friend. Both security officers became very intimidating and aggressive behavior. I was lost for words because we made a legitimate complaint and did not cause a scene. These men circled us like an angry pack of wolves. Also they dont even know when their last inspection was. My guy friend saw it on the board by the register, it said June of 2021! As we were walking out, the security guard that looked 6 feet tall rushed towards my friend in "I dare you to do something" manner. My friend is only 5 feet tall. It was as if he was instigating her for a reaction. I was concerned for her safety. He looked aggressive like he wanted to hit her. Someone like him with an aggressive /intimidating nature should not have that position. The restaurant still made us pay for the one or two bites that we took of their less than good quality food. How petty and unprofessional these people were. This restaurant should not be in business. Not with the disgusting food...
