If it was possible to leave less than a 1 Star review, I would leave it soley bc of the attitude of the staff and strange policies. My husband and I went to pick up food for a date night at home. I ordered a meal and a margarita from the passenger side and were going to pick up a pizza for him. Anyway, I went to go pay with my license and my debit card. But they said that they needed the ID of the driver which of course was in his gym bag in the trunk and of course there is a line behind us by then. So I point out that it's my order and cashier went to go ask someone who I'll guess is the manager. Manager basically said the same thing. So husband asked if she goes inside can she pick it up? The manager said, no bc she knew now and that was against policy. Now it could be possible that the cashier and the manager were correct and its policy but the whole ordeal escalated enough that I decided I'd rather spend my money somewhere else. We ended up just going to another restaurant and dining in so not a total failed "date night." But just really bizarre policy. Is it the same with ride share? With doordash? So many questions and I couldn't find the policy online. The funniest part is that I never go there for margaritas. That's usually my husband so you'd think they'd recognize a regular. But good for them for asking for ID, nothing like getting carded in your 40s. Really good for your ego. Let this be a lesson, don't skip the sunscreen especially in Texas where only the driver can purchase alcohol in the drive thru at...
Read moreI love taco cabana. But this location no matter how many chances I give it... it’s always some rude customer service experience I encounter. No other location in San Antonio I’ve experienced this. The manager Jerry isn’t very helpful and he needs to, in my opinion be replaced with someone more personable and understanding from a customers point of view. The employees need closer looking at. God bless y’all!
Today was the last straw. I purchase my food and the girl at the window (hispanic female with white nails) forgot to give me my food. I mean she’s looking at me aside of my head while I gather money to pay her and on her phone at the same time.... which is no problem. But that distracted her from giving me my food that I paid for... so guess what? I had to come all the way back for it... I come back to a crumbled up bag of my purchase and she opens the window, while giving my food she says “here”. Instead of saying “Here’s your food ma’am, I’m sorry for the inconvenience. You have a lovely day” I mean where’s the customer service, you don’t have to be excited at work but at least be professional and don’t crumble up someone’s bag of food. That makes it unappetizing and suspicious .... but the food is good at this location. It’s the energy! I don’t do negativity and will not...
Read moreI recently was on my way home from being in the hospital. I wasnt feeling very well. Taco Cabana is the only fast food Ill eat. Its real food and Ive loved it since 1981, Hilderbrand is a warm fuzzy. 98% of the time its 110% over all. That day fell into the 2% column. The quality of the food was great, but it was assembled in the dark, no plastic ware or hot sauces or napkins no cheese enough meat for 2 tacos. I ordered the $14.99 meal assembly, & felt duped. I had just about exhausted all the strength i could muster. So i stead of going back i called to voice my disapointment in what I'd ordered. These days 99% of the time customer appreciation on unsatidfactory service does get you anything but closure. Not here...Jerry the GM never talked down to me was receptive and assured me he would make good. I explained i was to tired from my illness go then, he told me to come when i was ferling better ask for him and he would take care of me. I went to night, he was gone. So i explained the circumstance to the shift leader asst mgr Crystal! OMG! Whats the chance of a store having two over the top groovy managers? This is more than i ever expected. Im grateful to them both. Good store super employees. Thank you Crystal and Jerry. It...
