I am a lifelong resident of San Antonio and a common customer at Wataburger. However I am NOT going back to this particular location and I strongly urge anyone reading this review to avoid this establishment like the plague.
I have had nothing but problems with this restaurant since the day it opened. I live with a roommate who is a Kidney transplant patient. For safety and sanitation reasons he cannot eat anything I have touched because he has to take immunosuppressant drugs. What do these chuckleheads do constantly? When I order food to go from them they always ALWAYS put my burger with his fries and his burger with my onion rings. I have asked them repeatedly to stop and they keep doing it.
Well tonight was the last straw. I was having friends over and offered to get food. My room mate asked for a #1 with cheese all the way. I ordered a Green Chile burger no fries and 2 apple pies. I get home to discover that they have charged me for the Apple pies but gave me a large fry instead. I called and asked them to correct the problem.
I went back to collect the missing apple pies, I get home to discover that one of the pies is a Lemon pie. I do not like lemon pie. I called the manager and he refused to comp the meal, instead saying to say I spoke to him and that they would give me three apple pies.
I'm not going to wait and see if they honor this promise. Instead I shall be going back to the Wataburger franchise at Broadway and 410. I have never once had a problem with them.
In summation, this is a horribly managed franchise that tarnishes the image of an otherwise excellent brand, please do not give...
Read moreWhataburger is without a doubt one of the most popular fast food joints in Texas. This location, however, has some of the worst customer service. I've had plenty of great experiences at this location, but bad experiences (such as this one) are the ones I remember most.
I was the first person in line at the drive-thru, so it was not a busy time. We had to wait 15 minutes to get our food at the window. Mind you, we did not get an explanation as to why it was taking so long. Good locations will practice proper customer service during a time like this. For example, "Sorry for the wait, we're making the fries fresh for you. It will be out shortly." Instead, we got complete silence and negligence from the drive-thru employee.
After waiting 15 minutes for only 3 meals, we get home to realize that our fries were missing. We waited 15 minutes to get half of our order. I'm not entirely sure how you can forget 3 orders of fries, but some kid here managed to make that happen.
Whenever I think of Whataburger at 1243 Austin Highway, I will think about how I waited 15 minutes for missing fries at a slow hour of the evening without any customer service whatsoever. What a disgrace to the...
