Visited this restaurant the morning of 10/11/21, ordered a bean/cheese/bacon taco. The taco did not taste very good, as if either the beans or cheese was rancid or old. I brought it to the attention to our waitress, she simply said ok & walked off. About 15 minutes later another young lady, who did not acknowledge who she was, asked if everything was ok, assuming she was referring to the taco issue, I began to explain again... she quickly became defensive and loudly expressed that their food is fresh, then grabbed my plate and walked away. Mind you, I was very discreet when talking to both young ladies. The friend who I was with stopped our waitress and asked her, “are you going to even offer her another taco?”. She grabbed a menu and handed it to. Minutes later returned to ask if I made up my mind. Needless to say, I chose to not order anything else. When she brought over the ticket, the taco was still on the ticket & had not been removed. When I asked the young lady about it, she again argumentatively reiterated that their food was fresh and it was not her food, yet rather it was me. Customer service was unacceptable, the level of rudeness and inadequacy of it all was unacceptable. It’s not the point of paying for a $3 taco that was not satisfactory.... and rudely snatched out from in front of me.... rather the inappropriate customer service...
Read moreOh this place was bad. My family lives in the area and has enjoyed the food. Today I was in the area with my family. Instead of getting McDonald's, I drove them here. First off place was packed and you have to stare down everyone eating in hopes of getting a table yourself as there is no host to do so. Once we got our table it took a bit but waitress came by asking what we wanted to drink. I got a soda, my mother got a sweet tea. We both ordered pancakes with our order, which came out first. Our waitress left the pancakes with a knife no fork. She didn't come back around to check with us and we had to flag her down to ask her for forks. By this time I already had cut my pancakes an just ate it by hand. She came back around with our tacos which were cold in the inside but tortilla was warm not hot but warm. While eating I ate a quarter of my chorizo and egg and left it, sub par at best. I was needing a refill but again our waitress never came to check on us. She went around to her other tables, but not once to us after our food was dropped off. I seriously considered walking out of the place because of her inability of the job. My mother also was pretty displeased by the taste of her tea and food. Again McDonald's seemed to be the better choice and will be our go to instead...
Read moreThe stars were for the great service, our waiter went above and beyond to serve us and yell is about the food, since it was our first time. The inside threw me off, reminded me of Jim, so I thought they will serve chicken fried steak , like jims, but was the opposite. We been wanting to come here because it was always pack and I thought it be more country cafe but it was more mexican. Either way I love Mexican food and tried the number 1 enchiladas with taco and chalupa. My girl got pork chop breakfast. We got chips and queso as well. I am not going to complain about the food, it was good, fresh, it was just "safe" , could use more seasoning, nothing where it any different than any other Mexican restaurant. Maybe some more spices , little more flavor. I usually go to Caracheos on McArthur and nagadoches, but we were at Austin hwy and place was busy. The pork chop did have good flavor , been eggs, beans and potatoes had to have salt and pepper added to be eaten. Maybe it might be good for some people, maybe just not for me. My bill was about 50 dollars, with Mexican plate, tea, and pork chop breakfast and tea, with...
