I went around 10am on a Saturday and the restaurant was empty, the service was friendly, and I received my food pretty quickly. I appreciate the way everything was packaged so I didn't have any grease or liquid spills from the food on the way home. I read a lot of good reviews on the menudo but that was not my experience. I asked for a small but he said they only had the large size for some reason. I will say the menudo was PACKED with meat if that's something you're looking for but the flavor was non existent and actually left an almost sour taste in my mouth. I tried doctoring it up with some lime and salsa but even that didn't help, I took a couple bites and couldn't eat anymore... $11 wasted. You have a choice of flour or corn and I chose flour, the flour tortillas have a very chewy/gummy texture; probably low quality store bought tortillas. I also bought two al pastor street tacos, the flavor of the al pastor was ok but the meat was somehow mushy. I'm honestly surprised by my experience considering the reviews, would not...

tried this place for the first time the other day. all i have to say is this is REAL AUTHENTIC mexican food!!! their torta de asada (without mayo) was delicious with their red hot sauce!!! if you want real mexican food and real delicious hot sauce then go here! also got their jamaica and my boyfriend got their mini taco plate. the jamaica was amazing of course and the rice from the taco plate was to die for!! also tried their green sauce which is good when mixed with the red one! overall i really recommend this place for real latinos that want a mexican taste and are tired of tex mex places like taco bell and taco cabana! its pretty cheap and totally worth the stop. i hate going inside places to order but i would totally go back inside to order from her again, HAPPILY because i know the food is so good and so worth my time and energy. will return most likely if i am ever in the...

This was one of my top to go to places in San Antonio for tortas and street tacos but haven't been here in a while and thought I'd let My wife try it after bragging about it for months. My wife and i had a carne asada torta, it was pretty good, but not as good as I remembered it. We also split the asada wet burrito it tasted better than it looked. We devoured it. 😁 Carne asada street tacos, the meat was not warm enough. Pastor tostada was ok. Menudo was a disappointment, the broth looked unlike any other menudo broth we have ever seen, I was hesitant to even try it, it looked so odd I didn't want to take a photo of it. It also lacked hominy and flavor... after 3 spoons of it I couldn't anymore, I was disappointed and was left...

This is the usual taqueria, so take it at its face value. It is a hole in the wall, but it seems very clean and service is decent. No table service, but that is ok. Don't expect Tex Mex when you come in here. To me it seems more like regional food from the Mexico City region of Mexico, but others have claimed it is more like the Monterrey region. Either way, the food is fresh, good portions and good prices. Just not Tex Mex - so if you are looking for a different flair, check this place out. Also, research the different menu items below - some are not local food in SA but after I researched, they sure sounded good.
