Taqueria Jalisco 6 — Restaurant in San Antonio

Came here after Saturday evening church service to try their chicken soup. Online search for 'budget dinner near me' not only yielded this restaurant but it also had what I needed first and foremost --- chicken soup! I was feeling under the weather and wanted something to sooth my sore throat.

I wss surprised to be served a complete meal with the chicken soup as its centerpiece. I was given for appetizer what I would easily consider delicious homemade hot crunchy nacho chips .

I was amazed at how they served the chicken soup. Very healthy concoction with two large tender chicken breasts surrounded by delicious veggies. The meal even had soft tacos and rice on the side by default.

Staff did not speak English but it did not matter. They were friendly, helpful, and professional.

The restaurant wasn't huge but it was homy and clean.

After all I have described I barely spent $10!!! So worth it.

Food good but all the times I been there the service against me has been horrible. If I'm with someone else they are treated better than I am their orders are correct, drinks refilled, the ladies there smile at them and speak to them in Spanish, but because I only speak English I am treated poorly. That's no reason to treat anyone the way the ladies there treat people who don't speak English the way they do especially other females who go into that restaurant to dine in. Went to eat there today with a friend because that's where he takes us to eat (05/25/24) and ordered beef bj nachos served came back to table with chicken fj nachos. I used to be a regular customer. The last we went there. Noone greeted us. We didn't get a menu. They didn't ask what kind of drink we wanted. One waitress gave me a fake smile. We were on our lunch break. We waited over 15 minutes. We decided to go somewhere else because we only have 40 minutes left with our lunch. We been going a different Mexican restaurant ever since.
