The parking lot looks dingy and there is outside construction going on to the outside of the building. Once indoors however the restaurant has an updated new feeling to the decor. The floors and seating areas are clean. It was a light crowd this evening, singles and a few families were scattered throughout the establishment. We waited briefly until our waitstaff brought out menus. I ordered a Tecate, I never remembered them tasting like a tin can and little flat. I ordered a shredded beef burrito, which came with re-fried beans and a salad. My guest ordered the mini chicken tacos. We also ordered a Taco Soup. Our plates arrived and everything looked delicious. The Taco Soup alone is a meal. There was la generous service of chicken and avocados . It was very delicious. I tried my burrito and realized it was shredded chicken and not beef. I said to my guest, “This order is not correct, this is Chicken” They replied, “you always order a shredded beef burrito.” Sad that I would eat it anyway but would mention the order was wrong. When the wait staff came by and asked how everything was, I told her I would eat the burrito but the order was wrong. She gave me a fake smile and said, “No you ordered Chicken, I am sure of this,” as if I was trying to get away with something. This irritated me as I told her I intended to each the Chicken Burrito anyway. What was the point of being right if I already told her I was eating it anyway, why not just apologize; she needed to be right. We were almost finished when she passed by, my wife asked for a to-go box. It was obvious we had quit a bit of food. She returned several minutes later with a single small styrofoam container and left. We continued to eat what we could when my wife said, “ we are going to need more than this one little container.” We continued to wait for our waitstaff to return, she never did. At this point we were both growing restless. I went myself and found two more containers and returned to the table. We packed up what we wanted to take home and continued to wait for the check. I went up front to see if there was a “pay at the register sign; nothing”; we continued to wait. It had to have been another 10 minutes of waiting before my wife gathered the boxes and went to the register, helping herself to a plastic bag. I finally went up and said we were at table 25 but still had no ticket. The person at the counter said, that will be xx.xx, “is that a credit card or cash” He was surprised when my wife said, “can we see the receipt first, generally I like to know what I’m paying” He gave us the receipt to which everything and only what we ordered was accounted. This is a nice little Taqueria but the service is terrible, at least with the woman waiting on our table. There were two other tables that came after we arrived and they had come and gone already before we were finally released. Another table to the side of us also complained their order was wrong and had a similar problem as we did in regards to prompt service and an incorrect menu item. Needless to say I left only a 10% tip on my card and felt no guilt whatsoever. I might return for the food as it’s near to where we are temporarily staying, but would insist on someone else waiting on our booth.

Well this is the 3rd time we go back in 2 months, to have a delicious dinner at: Taqueria Lago de Chapala Jalisco, located at: 12048 O' Connor Rd, and everything was real fresh and this became the # 1 of my favorites Mexican restaurants. Oh my god ❗ the food portions they serve you are huge, if you ask for a: Taco al Pastor, the taco won't close because the amount of meat it comes with, anything you ask, like The Tortilla Soup, the small is good enough if you are thinking to get another plate, like me, today I ordered for the small Tortilla Soup, also ordered Tostadas (3) de Pollo, barely was able to finished them. I was asking for help to the kindly waitresses Luz & Yolis just in case I will not able to finish everything. And of course without mention this place is always super clean and have reasonable prices. These guys have replaced all the benches, chairs & tables they look gorgeous, they built master pieces, for real. And let me tell you, I recommend this Mexican restaurant, widely, pretty sure you will come back again, so I will give my ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ well deserved gold stars to you my friends, keep all the same magic flavors on your tasty food❗

2022.10.09 Food was great.. Fajitas Flameados...Enchiladas con guisada...Salsa Verde, Guisada with cheese taco. All great....our server Carlos was amazing... 2023.06.10 Second time. Had the puffy Taco plate with picadillo carne guisada with cheddar cheese 🔥, Beef fajita quesadilla 🔥, rice and beans were delicious. Server Pancho was excellent. Complimentary chips came with salsa and queso 🔥 the red salsa is the hot one (my preference). My wife had the Mexican plate with cheese enchiladas in a crispy taco with picadillo. I'm not sure if she liked it when I turned around the plate was empty. JK. 🔥 The place is decorated really nicely all the booths have unique murals painted on them, they look really cool. The menus also have pictures which is really nice 👍Drive thru coming soon.

This place has decent food, same as any fast food type chain would have. The service is horrible. I have ate in twice, only once was service good. Then after ordering take out (working for a company and having multiple orders), twice for twice now there is something missing. Call and get the wonderful attitude of it's not our fault, we read it back to your shuttle driver and they said okay. So on the phone both times after explaining how would a shuttle driver know what everyone else ordered, the problem is still the customers. Being they are to incompetent to check the order as they bag it, it will become your fault. It seems the ownership or management is way to arrogant to care how the customer is treated. My advise for what it's worth, spend your money with someone who cares about you, someone who will make things right, someone who would be willing to lose 10 minutes of their time, someone who would go the extra mile to bring your order the one mile from your work. Someone who will lose a nickle to make a dime when it's their fault. My advise because there are many places to eat here or in their case to bone you out of 10 bucks and leave you without. For the owner (I'm one also), stop throwing away dollars to count your dimes. Two eat ins and two take outs in a month, if I scored your service you scored a 25 out of 100. Also if my average eat in is 30.dollars and the average take out is 50.dollars on average you just lost 1920.dollars a year for 7.dollars. That in any language is throwing a way dollars while counting dimes. My hope is that you have a change of heart how you train, manage and treat people. If your not willing to do that my hope is for everyone that reads this review to decide to spend their money with someone who cares about them, as much as...

We have gone to this restaurant several times. Never have we been treated with such disrespect as this evening. We ordered decaf coffee, we sent it back and ordered something else since it tasted old and bitter. I told the waitress I wanted a parrilla and she suggested a plate that was perfect for one. I went ahead and ordered that, the food arrives and there is literally no meat. I counted 3 pieces of meat and it's asada meat not fajita. Nothing but veggies, I immediately tell her "where's the meat"? She says that's how it comes if I want more meat I will be charged more. I tell her I don't want the plate and send it back and ordered something else. She then tells us we are being difficult with her and that this time if I don't like my plate I'm still going to be charged for it. I ask for the owners information and of course it's a bogus phone number. I called the restaurant back twice only to be hung up on. I have never been one to complain or leave a bad review but this is beyond crazy!! Who treats paying customers this way. All I wanted was what I ordered. Never did I ask for anything free, nor did they offer any compensation or even an apology. I really hope the owner sees this review and contacts me personally. Something needs to be done! I wonder how many customers this has...
