I've stayed here many times. When I was driving a truck, I used the truck stop across the street to park my rig, then spent a night or two in a real bed. I live less than a mile away. I usually am overall pleased with the accommodations, and I'm not picky by any means. Having spent many years responding to complaints, I try not to make complaints unless something is TERRIBLY wrong, which was my recent experience.||It was a Friday night, and the house is being remodeled. No kitchen access, everything is messy and I wanted some peace and relaxation. I checked Booking.com, saw that my old standby was available and at a reasonable price. I clicked the book now button and entered my card info. This property was set up to require payment at the time of booking, which is new to me. I've always paid at the property.||When I arrived with a friend, the desk person found my booking quickly and processed the business part. I took a look at the property map and was pleased with the choice she made for me. King Room, non-smoking. She mentioned that lots of guests had had complaints recently because of renovations, but assured me this room was away from the inconvenience and noise. I said "I just need a shower and clean bed, with something to watch on the TV.||I decided to inspect the room anywaycause of the complaints comment. It looked OK to me. I was concerned about mess or noise, but the room looked clean and well-maintained. I was wrong. After I mentioned the missing remote, she suggested my friend accompany her to the desk to get one to replace the missing remote. He also told her we needed some sort of furniture other than the bed to sit on. As it was, one could sit on the bed or the floor, or stand. ||We didn't try it immediately when he got back. He mentioned the receptionist promised chairs in the morning if we chose to stay over, and I wanted to just to avoid the mess at home. We had been in a deep discussion, and picked that back up, until some time later|when I wanted some music or some sound. I tried the remote, which did nothing. I handed it back to my friend who returned it to the desk and brought a few different remotes back to figure out which one worked. We tried them but none worked. Turned out the tv was unplugged and disconnected from the cable. The connections were behind a heavy dresser, so I didn't try to patch them. ||I went to sleep, my friend went home, and when I woke, I showered and wished for coffee. I decided to go to the convenience store across the freeway and get some snacks and coffee for the remainder of our stay. I got some sausage buscuits and hash browns from McDonalds. I also picked up a couple toiletry items since the room had 2 tiny bars of soap and nothing else. ||I got back to the room and ate breakfast on the bed, had coffee on the bed, and then wished harder for a working TV. I decided to go take care of business and stopped at the desk to make sure the maintenance guys would address the TV and seating problems, and she assured me they would. I went for my first planned project at Lowe's, then back to the room. It was still early, maybe 9, and I rebooked the room and let the day person know I was staying over, if they could get the TV working and at least 1 chair in the room. I left for the day and didn't really think anything of it until I got back, during the evening. Daytime lady was gone and night time lady was back. I went to the room and when I opened the door, I was surprised and shocked to see the room had been completely serviced as if I had checked out and all my stuff and my friend's work-related items were all completely gone without a trace. ||I sat on the bed, a little dazed. Nothing was irreplaceable, and I never leave valuables alone in a motel room. But $35 in snacks, $15 in toiletries, $40 in vaping supplies, a few clothing items and my friend's tools added up rapidly to an easy $200 or $300! I went back to the desk and complained. The young lady began to check the reports and paperwork, and sure enough, the day person had neglected to chenge the rooms status, so the housekeepers apparently had disposed of my items in some fashion. ||I tried not to make a scene, but I was definitely upset. The night person said I should talk to the day person, since she would have been familiar with the day's events. I said I wanted a refund for the 2nd night, and she said the day lady had to do that, she was not able. I left, meaning I went home where I could hope to avoid being robbed again. I returned at 9:00am to discuss the matter with the day lady. ||She checked reports and paperwork, and clearly realized she had erred and for all I knew could be in trouble. She said she would call the housekeeper and ask about the disposition of my stuff. Apparently he said there were no personal items in the room, but I suspect this part was coached because she had turned away and hurriedly whispered a few sentences in a foreign language. She informed me I was a liar and had left nothing behind, and then began to yell at me and curse. I said I wanted my money back, and she loudly refused. I got angry and said I would be complaining in every possible platform. ||I have not heard from the motel, booking.com, nor Motel 6 Corporate with any real effort to make me whole and...
Read moreOk folks...this is going to be a long post but well worth reading. I checked in to the Motel 6 at 35N and O'Conner on Monday June 23, 2025. When I made the reservation I clearly stated that I needed a first floor room due to me being on oxygen and I have a big heavy concentrator. They gave me room 109 and all was well. The next morning the man from the front desk tried to enter my room without even knocking! I went to the office and he told me I had to leave. I told him I had a reservation and then he told me I had to move. They made me move by myself to the 2nd floor. I asked if they had a luggage cart to help me move and he said no they didn't have one. So, in the heat of the day I had to move my stuff by myself to the 2nd floor. When I got to the other room (room 222), the AC didn't work, there was black mold in the bathroom ceiling in addition to a huge hole in the ceiling, jagged glass in the window, dead bugs all over the floor, no microwave, no phone, and I could go on. I went back down to the office and told them about the room and they sent a maintenance guy to work on the AC. I went back down and told them I could not stay in the room due to the black mold. I am on oxygen and am very careful about my environment. The lady just looked at me like I was crazy. Then she said she had to come check the room herself. It was cooler OUTSIDE than in that room. They left me sitting OUTSIDE for over 2 and a half HOURS before they sent someone with a key to a different room. So once again I had to move my stuff by myself to another room. As if that wasn't enough, they only had ONE microwave for the WHOLE motel and it's in the office. Later that night when I went to heat up something for dinner, the door to the storage was open....and guess what I saw in the room??? A freaking luggage cart just sitting there. And the room that they made me move out of on the first floor REMAINED EMPTY THE WHOLE TIME I WAS THERE!!! They made me move for no reason. I am furious and told them I wanted a refund. Of course they are telling me no. I am going to find a lawyer and sue. They messed with the wrong person and they will pay dearly now. So, if that is the last place on earth that has a room to rent.....stay under a bridge....... you'll get better accomodations!!!!!!! Rant over.
UPDATE It is now July 17 and I still have not gotten resolution. I intent to keep on posting until I get restitution. This place and the people here...
Read moreROACHES EVERYWHERE! Black mold and broken tiles in shower. Cable TV is non-existent. Owners are horrible people! Owner Mina, likes to intimidate and makes you feel very unwelcome. She told us we could not have guest in our room under any circumstances. I'm a nurse not a criminal. I should be able to have my family that I came to town to see come into my room that I paid for. No wifi in rooms caused us to stand outside to get reception. One night the next door neighbors were outside too. The male owner rudely accused us of "having a party" on the balcony. His approach was aggressive so we went inside and then watched him kick the neighbors out for no apparent reason. It was after midnight and they had just paid for a week. In the week we were there, we watched them kick out several people. Another guest told me that she tried to stay on the owner's good side because they habitually refuse to re-rent to people. Also, the male owner made it very known that there were cameras on us everywhere. Yet when our car was involved in a hit and run they couldn't see the car that hit it "because of the angles". My deposit was charged instead of refunded so it took over a week to get it back. We had no towels in our room and had to ask repeatedly for them. Trash outside doors would sit there all day. Our feet were black from walking on the filthy floors! Worst stay ever. Wouldn't stay there again even if I...
