Taurinos offers a generally decent dining experience, but if you're a connoisseur of authentic Mexican food, you might find it falls a bit short. I opted for the lunch chicken fajitas, and unfortunately, the chicken was quite dry. My friend's huevos rancheros with carne guisada also missed the mark; the carne guisada, which should be wonderfully tender, was surprisingly tough. The true highlights of our meal were the fresh tortillas and the sweet tea. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, providing a pleasant backdrop for a meal. However, for those seeking a truly authentic and well-executed Mexican food experience, you might want to explore other options. I’ll come one more time to try to order something different, the fideo loco seems to have a large appeal!

My favorite Mexican dish is chicken mole. With that being said, I've tasted quite a few different mole dishes. And I have to say, the chicken mole enchiladas served here are THE BEST I've ever had! The mole is thick, rich, and FULL of flavor! It was so good that I asked for a side of mole to spread over my beans and rice! The chicken was NOT from the can. It was the real deal. The refried beans and rice were also filled with flavor. I was not disappointed in the slightest. The waitress was very attentive and gave refills without having to be asked. I appreciate good service. The salsa has a kick that went well with my food. I left full and surprised at how good this restaurant was. If you like mole, I highly recommend trying this mole. 👌

So let me start off by saying this place makes really good food. However, after going here for years now, the cleanliness of the facility and now the food and dinnerware are concerning. I have been finding HAIR in my food, receiving dirty utensils to eat with and most recently, a nasty filty dirty used cup for my drink that had a bottle cap in it that the bus boy threw in there when cleaning. Guess they dont wash the cups?? They didn’t even offer to comp the meal. So nasty. Anyway, id say give it a try but be careful. Service is what you’d expect these days but overall, just look over your food for hair and i guess now look in your cup to make sure there’s no trash in it. I really hope management reads this so adjustments can be made.

Never been to this place before, so I wanted to try it out. I got a coffee, and the beef quesadilla. Comes with two quesadillas, cut in half, with beans and rices. The quesadillas were an acceptable size. Rice and beans taste great along with the quesadillas. Restaurant and even the bathroom are very clean. Waitress was pretty nice. The only reason I giving this place three stars is because the lack of services from the waitress. Besides the part where she brought us the food we order and the chilli sauce I asked for, she really never came back to check on us. I notice this nine out of ten Mexican restaurants I go to. I usually go after the lunch rush to eat when I go to a restaurant. I dunno, maybe the waiters already made what they need already for the day, and maybe this is why the lack of services on the waitress end? All I know is, I waited a good while to see if she would come back and check on me, so I can get more coffee. I had to go to the back and ask for more coffee with my cup in my hand. The restaurant wasn't even busy at all. If I have to get to to do a waitress job, and then no, I'm not leaving a tip. I know waiters/waitress depend on tips, but I also depend on them for services when I go out to eat. I use to be waiter, I know how it's supposed to be. I always would check on my tables no matter how busy I got. I'm not saying I'm the best, most perfect waiter in the world, because I'm far from being perfect in anyway, shape or form, but this was very unprofessional. I would go back, but to try it again tho, because I always give a restaurant three chances before I actually decide to leave...

Where do I start? Not sure how this is 4.2 stars which is why we picked it in the first place. Looks like local return customers inflating the real story. Ordered the gorditas and puffy tacos the meat inside flavor was off. Not sure what it tasted like but not any hint of beef. Couldn't eat them-gross/gross texture and flavor. I know Gorditas have that type of filling but this just not right. They use the same feeling for taco and my dining partner could not eat theirs either. Beans thick and flaky dry. Chicken taco tasted like canned tuna. They have home made flour tortillas that were exciting to see as were warm, fluffy, and defenietly pleasing to site and texture but fell real short on flavor -salt needed. Without flavor not worth eating. Rice was the only thing I can say was very good. I'm super salty as paid for a meal that was gross. I'm a visitor to San Antonio looking for Tex Mex not this or good Mexican. I wanted to make a find like El Rodeo on potranco road where I went twice last visit and both time perfect all with...
