UPDATE: Been going here for years. Just wish they had a closer restaurant, but that could be a good thing. My coworkers turned me onto this little gem when my family's favorite Thai restaurant closed. So far it is my new goto thai place. Been here 3 times in the last couple months. The papaya salad is excellent. First time ordered medium heat and was perfect. Last time ordered the same and was way spicier, which made it a little difficult for my wife. The one things i don't understand is that all three times i have been, i have ordered phad khing (also really good)-Thai hot and all three times it was hardly spicy at all. Only thing they could offer was the pepper flakes. Don't understand how papaya salad could be so spicy and my main meal not at all. it's not like i can't handle Thai hot, which is what i always order wherever i go. I am guessing they don't have fresh thai peppers? Won't keep me from going again, just wish i could get the heat level i am asking for for my entree. maybe i need to ask for something different to get the...

My wife had worked in Thailand for over 5 years, so she has always been craving for authentic Thai food, most Thai restaurants we are only about 50% of what it should taste like.

We accidentally found this place after Seaworld while heading back to Austin, we ordered, 1. Tod maan (home made Fried Fish Cake), 2. Pork ribs with sticky rice, 3. Phad Thai, , 4. Papaya salad.

The Tod Maan is how.e made with special Thai style sweet and sour sauce with cucumbers, it tasted just like when we were living in Thailand, my first eye sight, my first bite... We couldn't describe how much it brought back our memories.

The sticky rice that came with the pork ribs was the same feeling we had like Tod Maan, the sticky rice was prepared in perfect cooking, not too wet, not too dry. The ribs were crispy just how it should been the Thai style.

Since we come to San Antonio each every month, we sure will be back for more on our next visit.

The waitress was asking me what else she can help us before we go, I told her if we can togo the...

My husband, son and I have been enjoying Thai House for years. After not having had a dine in experience since March, we came today, July 2, 2020 for our anniversary lunch. I love their D1, Thai House Duck. There is usually so much food in a single serving that I take half home for dinner. Today was no exception. My husband had the Pad basil with pork, and it was great, too. He cleaned his plate! The service is always stellar, and the atmosphere is charming. This is an all around wonderful dining experience.

I'm so very glad this restaurant survived the Covid pandemic. We eat here several times a year, including today, 2 July 2021, another anniversary. I use to meet my adult son here several years ago for lunch. I love the lunch specials, and he does, too. This is our adult daughter's favorite Thai food restaurateur in San Antonio. We agree with her!! Wonderful food, friendly, kind service....

Tonight, we were delivering dinner to a friend's house. I checked for nearby restaurant for us to check out, and found @thaihousesa. They've been serving their customers since 1999. The reviews looked promising as we made our selections. We started with the Veggie Rolls, which were very crunchy, and great dipping sauce. There was one section of duck options. We tried the Duck Noodle Soup. We had the Pad Thai with shrimp. Flavors for both dishes were outstanding, and the shrimp were jumbo. As my husband says, "Shrimp is best in town!" We also had the Thai House Fried Rice with chicken. There's flavor but not the bursts as in the previous 2 dishes. I could tell who the regular customers were from how they were welcomed back. Definitely, a fantastic find.

We went on Friday around 5:30pm and it wasn’t very busy. There was plenty of seating (which we picked ourself) and the hostess was very friendly. We both ordered a Thai tea and water and they had our drinks out to us quite fast. The Thai tea had a good earthy tea flavor and overall was enjoyable. I ordered red curry and my wife ordered Panang, both with a combination pork/chicken. The waitress didn’t ask and I didn’t even think to bring up spicy level. When the red curry was set in front of me you could immediately smell the coconut milk and basil. It was very good but had almost no spiciness. (Be sure to ask!). I asked for some chili flakes and that fixed it up pretty well. Overall, great experience.
