The food is disgusting. DO NOT ORDER anything fried. They use way too much batter and burn the food. The onion rings a friend ordered were burnt, and the mushrooms were all batter and you couldn't even taste mushroom. Not sure what mushrooms they use, but they were rubbery and disgusting. The music is fine (R&B and hip hop) but they bring in a ghetto crowd and mainly from the south side. Believe me, I know. We missed 15 bullets a month ago in front of this place due to "southside" braggers causing trouble out front. SMH! Keep that shiz in the south. Not really a good place and has gone down hill tremendously. Go next door to the Angry Elephant. Much better crowd and the bartenders serve the drinks much stronger, and mixed more properly. Don't order food though as they use the Roo kitchen. This place desperately needs to fire the main cook (a filapino woman) as a friend who works told me she's an absolute joke. They need a new cook who knows how to cook IMMEDIATELY!!!! And better bouncers that can actually do their job and control the rowdy crowd and kick these types out before...

Outstanding experience at Roo Pub today. Heidi set the bar high for wait staff in the future. She was pleasant, hard working and made the dining experience better than we had figured on. My wife had the Boomer Cheeseburger and said it was the best cooked hamburger ever, that she hadn't cooked. High praise indeed coming from her . I had the Bonzer Chili Cheese burger. I'm not as big a burger fan as my wife but it may have been the best burger I have ever had. The salad or fries that come with the meal were both outstanding. Very nice and tasty job Roos Pub, hats off to you folks for the job well done.

May 2024 - had to go back for a great burger. I had the burger with pastrami in a marbled bread and my wife had the ripper burger. We shared her fries since they are so big and we shared the Mac and Cheese. Mac n cheese was phenomenal. For those old enough , it really tasted like the old Kraft Mac n cheese, not the new garbage. We didn't have any leftovers of the Mac. Ava made our whole lunch experience so nice. Thanks roo pub. Hopefully it won't be so long until we get back...

I’ve never had such a disturbing and unprofessional experience at a bar in my life. The bartender on duty (a woman whose name I didn’t catch) was completely out of line.

First, she yelled at us to leave, even though there were still other people clearly allowed to stay inside. When we questioned it, she snatched my phone from me. Not once, but twice. She then told us we had to drink outside because it was after closing hours (even though others were still inside), and later grabbed my friend’s drink out of her hand. I ended up crying because of how aggressive and humiliating the whole situation was.

Multiple people witnessed it and were on our side, even saying they had contacted or planned to talk to the manager because it was that bad.

The behavior was not only unprofessional but borderline aggressive and unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone until they take accountability and better train their staff. No one deserves to be...

Hmmm The Roo Pub... 🤔 I was unsure of what to expect when I stepped in so I went straight to the bartop and asked a few questions that were answered cordially. I quickly found a spot and got a few good beer suggestions. To top it all off I got myself a chili burger and asked for some jalapenos to be added. I rarely expect a burger to satisfy my hunger and my cravings for a flavor that is unforgettable. Fortunately here at The Roo I got it all! So at the end of it all I think The Roo forgot the "t" for it was "root" of satisfaction! Side note: The flavor of the chili and the sauteed veggies that were included was profound! The spicy to savory level is inexplicable. Oh yeah and how can I forget the onion rings! The consistency and flavor was also spot on... however for those the beer is a must!Long story short I'll be back for more!
