4/7/24 2:45 p.m. Drive-thru. Alonso was rushing me on drive thru hurrying me with order. Which I had to ask him to repeat. #2 no veggies keep mustard add Ketchup with double cheese meal with a chocolate shake. He gave me my shake which was full of ice cream on the outside of cup and took my credit card. I asked him for some napkins to wipe my cup. Gave me my receipt and asked me to pull forward. My order wasn't that difficult idk why I had to pull over. Last 3 cars didn't have to wait. I noticed he didn't give me my card. He was taking so long to bring my order. Finally, he came to my car and I told him he didn't give me my credit card. He just looked at me numb. And went inside without saying anything. Again he was taking too long so I decided to come inside. I related what happened to some very rude employee named Ruby. She told me to wait. Apparently there was no manager. She was just clocking in. So I waited another 5 minutes. The guy that didn't give me my credit card finally comes to the front with my card and says a customer gave it to him. He showed me a picture where my card was upside down and went back to drive thru. I went to my car and grabbed my phone because I wanted to take a picture of the pic he had on his phone. By this time Allison the mgr. Came to the front and she said, "she wasn't aware of situation because she had just clocked in." I asked Ruby to call Alonso so I could take a picture of card "customer" had found because it didn't look like mine. Allison brought Alonsos phone and said I couldn't take a picture of card on floor." She deleted it in front of me. Alonso tried to explain how he found it again and Ruby opens her mouth and tells him, "You don't have to explain anything to her." Why not Ruby? What if he really planned to keep my card? What if he took picture of my card #? You're just an employee you should have kept your mouth shut. Allison did not handle the situation properly and they didn't give me my receipt back. People make sure you get your card back after you pay. Now I'm going to have to cancel my credit card because he couldn't find it but when I got off and went inside he magically found it. He said customer found it but had time to take a picture of a card on the floor. I also had them remake my order including my shake Never again. Manager before was much better had more organized. Alonso don't rush the people ordering in drive thru that's how...
Read moreAfter the 5th time in a row of not getting what I ordered here, I decided to write a review. This location does not deserve your business. If you crave for Whataburger, you would be wise to drive a little further to a different location.
Whataburger is supposed to be made-to-order food. At this location, I have rarely received fresh fries. And they are almost never salted. I can't remember ever having fries here which have been salted. After repeat experience, I also don't expect a burger which isn't cold and flat, tasting like it's been sitting on a counter for 10 minutes.
I can't speak for the service inside, but the drive-thru staff doesn't listen or pay attention to the customer. Many times, I am asked two or three times what I ordered. They ask what I want, I tell them, and then a long pause, and they ask me again as if they went off to do something else while I was ordering.
It's not that they can't understand me, or that my order is complicated. It's usually simple. The #1, whatasize; your-biggest-fries, and iced tea. No special request for the burger, nothing complicated. Every time something is wrong. The fries are just regular size. The drink is not the right size. The burger is made wrong. If I have two orders, and one burger is requested special (certain condiments), and the 2nd is NORMAL, I usually get both made as the 1st special request. You're lucky if you consistently get ketchup and napkins (standard bag-fills at Whataburger restaurants).
I've narrowed it down to two possibilities. 1. The manager(s) are just sloth, lazy and just don't really care about the customer, or they don't MANAGE their employees. This attitude/behavior usually result in widespread similar behavior among the employees. That would explain while I have not once received an even fair experience here. 2. There is personal motivation among some/most of the employees, to sabotage a certain demographic of customers.
I have called the store a couple times to complain to the manager. They offer a replacement or whatever for the next time I go there. Fine. But then why does the manager not solve the problem? Tell your workers to pay more attention. If they continually do not, then FIRE them. It's that simple. Anyway, I just went to this location for the last time. I have not encounter this problem at ANY other...
Read moreI had the worst experience there on mother's day evening. I was pulled forward to wait for the food, no biggie because I ordered a bunch of chicken tenders and expected to have to wait. When my food was brought out I was missing half my order. I called into the store to let them know while I was still parked where the asked me to pull forward. One worker came out and I kindly explained to him what I was missing. He took my bag of food back to the kitchen then another worker came out about 10 minutes later with the bag of food. You can tell they had opened the order to check it because they left all the boxes and bags open. He then asked me what the problem was. I explained again and right about this time I have now been in the drive through for about 20 min. The second worker went back inside then a third person came out, this person claiming to be the manager on duty he was a young man with glasses if I recall correctly. He was very combative from the start and he made me show him the receipt then open my food bags in front of him and count the tenders in each box. Sure enough there were missing tenders . He became agitated because honestly at this point I wasn't very happy having to open my food again when they had Already taken my food back to the kitchen. I decided to cancel the order and be refunded which upset him so as I handed him the food back he snatched it from my hand and immediately trashed it right in front of me making an obvious show of it. I was parked by the trash can. He then asked to have the milkshakes we ordered back too which I gladly handed back to him which he then trashed in front of my face as well. He went back inside took about 15/20 mins then Came back with the wrong refund amount. It was $10 short of a $42 order. He yelled at me when I tried to show him it was the wrong amount then did an about face turn when I showed him the receipt and handed him back the money he tried to give me that was not the full refund. He eventually came back with the correct amount no apologies or anything. Literally WORST fast food experience of my life and on mother's day at that. Probably won't ever return to Whataburger again. There are better options out there with...
