Antojo loko — Restaurant in San Bernardino

It was a scorching hot California day. I was driving around looking for an ice cream store, because my favorite ice cream shop (that I’ve been going to since I was 5 years old) was closed due to COVID. I ended up taking a wrong turn and stumbling upon this hidden gem. I got the rolled ice cream for myself and the Mangoneada for my mother. The workers were very polite and social. Both had smiling faces. I rushed home with the ice cream, to get it to my mom in time. She was laying in bed sick, and I surprised her with the Mangoneada, and OH MY GOSH her face lit up. It reminded her of her childhood in Mexico. The next day she messaged me and told me she was going to take me to get ice cream. She wanted me to take her to where I got the Mangoneada’s. She hadn’t gotten out of bed in such a long time, so it brought me great joy that this nostalgic taste got her moving again. We both got Mangoneadas and shared a few smiles and laughs. Been coming here ever since, and everytime I come I get 1 Mangoneada and 1 rolled ice cream... to relive that...
