My original court date was 9/8/2022. I arrived early, before 8am, court was at 8:30. Lots of parking. Anyway, when I went inside and looked at the docket, my name was not on it. I immediately walked to the clerk's office and was told that the San Bernardino Sheriff 's Department had not filed charges, as of that date. I asked what I was to do. The clerk advised me to go to the DA's office, and informed me it was directly across the street. I walked straight over to the District Attorney's office, which you can go no further than the front desk without an appointment. I explained to the woman at the desk that I had a court date for that day, but was not on the docket. She took my driver's license information and searched her data base, and told me she didn't see my case. I asked her why. I showed her my ticket. She explained that this type of situation happens when the District Attorney hasn't assigned anyone to the case, and that the DA's office has up to a year to file charges. I asked how I would be notified. She told me that I would have to call the DA's office every two weeks to see if they have filed. I asked for the number to call, in which she gave me a business card. Two weeks later, I called and received a voicemail for the woman whose name is on the business card. I left a message. After a week of calling numerous times, leaving numerous messages, and not hearing back, I emailed the woman (who I assumed was in charge of my kind of situation). After almost two more weeks had past, she called me and explained she was out of town for training. She then explained to me that I was given the incorrect contact number for the DA's office, and that I was to call the main number and there were options to follow. So, after another two weeks, I did just that, and the person who answered was the same woman at the front desk. The reason I know this is because I would occasionally walk in and ask her to look up my case. After six months of calling, and told I still didn't have charges filed against me, a new woman answered the phone (African American, the other woman was Caucasian, you can tell by the voice) informed me that I had a bench warrant filed for failure to appear from February. I then went online to the San Bernardino Superior Court website and tried to search my name by my case number. I received an error message, stating the website was down for maintenance. I tried several other times, never able to look up my information. Also, the website certificate was from an insect source. So, there was no way I was going to pay on my debit card for public records information. I then went back to the clerk's office to put myself on the docket. The clerk informed me that my bench warrant wasn't from February, but from December 2022. I was thinking about walking back to the DA's office, but knew that I wouldn't be able to speak with anyone. Meanwhile, I called DMV about my license and explained that I had a bench warrant for failure to appear. The woman looked up my information and told me that my license was still valid. I asked her how. She explained that DMV and court were two separate entities. I told her I knew that, but the court also has the right to take away your driving privileges, and that's exactly what they do when issued a bench warrant. I have a paralegal certification, and graduated with honors and understand our legal system. Therefore, I cannot understand how DMV is still investigating my case, and my next phone interview is 11 months after the incident, but I have court for the charges filed against me. DMV is only supposed to look into the case to ensure the policing agency followed procedure to have probable cause to warrant an arrest. The woman who is handling my DMV hearing told me that my case was still under investigation because I refused a blood test at the police station (which I had not). Moral of the EXTREMELY LENGTHY story: as soon as I am able, I am moving out of this corrupt state and never...

Kaliska said it best today, when she told me this: "The good that happens here is when adoptions take place. Also, people turn their lives around!!" She gets to see that every day!! She is the epitome of seeing the good while doing good at her job. When I asked her how I could give back as a thank you, she recommended a women's shelter. I immediately thought of The Sheepfold Shelters, and I'll be taking her advice... I'm blessed to work with such amazing, supportive, and professional people during some of the most challenging times I've experienced. I've screwed up some relationships and didn't relate well to some people after losing most of my entire support system because they all passed away (and then there's menopause!!) and that's why I am at court, yet there are good people who are helping me out with my mistakes during continuing deep grief. There's even an official "Area of Refuge" -- very thoughtful of them to include in a place that is sometimes overwhelming, complete with the incredibly thoughtful court clerk who brings tissues and cares enough to go above and beyond. If you read all of this, I'm praying for you in your case(s) -- may the Lord Jesus Christ bless you...
Read moreMy comment is directed to the criminal and civil division. Both allowed Dep. DA Fred Fredgren and the not so Honorable Judge G. S. Brown to convict me for defending myself in prison during period of false imprisonment. This is proven by grant of writ of habeas corpus No. 99-054X out of Del Norte County Superior Court. They stole10+ years of my life to cover up the injustices. Attorney George Mavris of Del Norte County provided a declaration in support of the truth of this matter and is willing to testify to the same if the matter is brouht to court. Ironically, neither court will process the matter to the full extent of the force of the writ, and give me my rightful day in court. I am owed millions in damages! Don't trust that they ever will. Then and only then can I receive the relief owed me and mandated by law and Constitution. Otherwise, the Sheriff Dept. Staff and holding area, as well as the court rooms themselves, are nice and of the...
