Josie's Bakery — Restaurant in San Bernardino

Wow! Never been here before in spite of how close it is to home. I looked up cakes and themes prior to making my selection and decided to give Josies bakery a chance. I walked in in the middle of the day not even realizing how close it was to Saturday for my cake order/birthday surprise for my son who has work Saturday yet they were able to accommodate my order to be ready in time. We were promptly greeted upon arrival, all our questions answered, cake will be baked just as I wanted it, their choices as far as cake and fillings is extensive and will have me back as I would love to try them all! The theme/design I looked up online and wanted for my cake was superseded by the clerk whom I almost want to say is the owner by how great his customer service and people skills are. I walked out amazed altogether and even though their products are delicious (we were offered a cheesecake sample), he made sure we knew they also have other yummy desserts baked in store aside from pan dulce, and tamales. The bakery has been at this location for many yrs and is very well known. 2 exclusively store front spots ensure a parking space for its customers since they share location with a water store and opposite of Buena Market. This bakery made a worst experience I ever had with a bakery does bakery made a two tier cake for my granddaughter's birthday and it completely fell apart and they didn't even apologize and they tried to blame me I was supposed to pick it up at 3 p.m. when they called and told me can you come at 5 obviously the cake wasn't ready and I made it a week prior I told her to birthday started at 4 and I have to pick it up at 3 so they rushed a cake and it was moist and wet insideI t didn't even apologize wouldn't discuss anything about any kind of refund or discount my granddaughter cried and did not have a cake I wouldn't recommend this bakery to anyone because they were very rude and had nothing to say except that it was my fault when I put the cake on the table it completely melted so think twice before you call them because to me they treat people horribly when they know that it was their fault mistakes do happen and if they would have just apologized and even offered anything I could understand but they were very rude and they were angry at me so for that...

Dry cake and bad service! Stopped by Tuesday and placed an order to pick up a small round 3 Leches cake on Saturday. The lady in the front asked at what time I wanted to pick it up. I said 7am and she said it was fine and wrote it down on my receipt. She charged me $55 and said that’s the price for orders even though they had three 3 Leches cakes of the same size for $25 in the fridge. On Saturday I arrived at 7:05 to pick up the cake. They still had the same cakes in the fridge from 4 days ago! The same lady in the front was extremely rude and told me they did not have my cake and they don’t place pick ups for 7am. I showed her the pick up time on my receipt and she said she would have never done that and I would need to wait until it was ready. I needed the cake early so that I could surprise my husband before he got home from work. They ruined the surprise and my husband didn’t like the cake because it was dry and tasted nothing like 3 Leches. He said it tasted like a plain white cake.
