ZERO STARS Worst experience ever. Nobody paid attention from the barista to the order taker. They ran out of dark roast coffee in the middle of the morning rush so I had to settle for something they made that was supposed to be there weaker coffee with shots in it instead I got a latte which was cold and had no coffee flavor. They didn’t even call our name didn’t take the name for that order, just left it sitting on the counter till we went up and said is that supposed to be ours. Had to take it back and tell them that’s not what I ordered, I ordered a dark roast coffee, which was supposed to be regular coffee with shots in it since they were out of dark roast. So then they added a shot of espresso to it, and the coffee was still cold. We won’t be coming back and we’ve come here many times before. $4.99 for a cappuccino served in a little paper cup, about the size you expect to get an espresso in! We weren’t even served on real plates cups and saucers, even though we ate in. Very very disappointing.
Ordered toasted bagels and didn’t even get enough cream cheese to evenly spread on each side of the bagel.
I was dripped on by the air conditioning unit, which is condensing really bad because they haven’t running full blast with the doors open. I told them it was dripping on the table we were at and they said “well you can go ahead and move the table yourself if you want to” they didn’t even offer to move the table for us, and I’m handicapped! Seems like they’re skimping on things and their service and food have gone downhill....
Read moreI recently visited Bird Rock Torrey Pines and was absolutely blown away by the experience! From the moment I walked in, the warm, inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. The cozy seating, incredible views and charming decor created the perfect setting for a relaxing break from the day.
The coffee itself was exceptional—rich, aromatic, and perfectly brewed. I tried their cappuccino and it was hands down the best I’ve ever had. The balance of flavors was spot on, and the latte art was a delightful touch. They clearly take great pride in their craft.
What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure every customer felt welcome and well taken care of. They were knowledgeable about their offerings and gave great recommendations, which I really appreciated.
Whether you’re looking for a place to work, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy a moment of peace with a fantastic cup of coffee, Bird Rock is the place to be. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu....
Read moreI don't know what happened. Bird Rock was my favorite coffee place in all of San Diego. I used to drive 30+ minutes just to get their cold brew. The last three times I got it, something was terribly wrong. I had such high regard for Bird Rock's product, the first 2 times I just assumed it was a bad batch and let to go. On the third time today, I poured my coffee out. The coffee used to taste rich and creamy. Almost a buttery coffee. The last three times it tasted like spoiled non-fat milk, and I don't add anything to the coffee. It was acidic water, with a slight splash of coffee flavor. Sorry, I'm done with Bird Rock and going to Phils. A lot of bad reviews are focusing on customer service. I don't even care about that because that's just the roll of the dice. Eventually, you will have a worker that is having a bad day. What I can't excuse is when your product is bad BY DESIGN. When the choices you have made as a business, are terrible. That is why Bird Rock is so awful. This place has 40+ items on the menu, not one of them is a decent...
