An Absolute Gem!!!

I have been going here for years when ever I am near by and it will always be an absolute treat for me. The moment you approach Villa Capri you get a sense of home. The way they great you with a warm smile, the way they explain and describe the dishes, everything about this restaurant makes you wish you where Italian. This is an authentic Italian restaurants with real Italians cooking with passion and pride in their cuisine.

Absolutely everything is amazing on their menu, their seasonal specials are to die for, especially when it’s seafood season. My favorite dish is the ziti, no one come close to Villa Capris Ziti. The cheeses are perfectly balanced, the sausages are flavorful and plentiful and the sauce just ties in everything perfectly together. We had an excellent dinner at Villa Capri. We learned that they recently hired a new chef who is from Italy and he revamped the menu according to his vision. The new menu features more daring options such as pasta with wild boar and mushrooms or ricotta pasta in velvety lemon sauce. I must say the food tasted authentic and it transported us to memories of our Italian Holidays. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. They kept on checking on us. We had two dogs with us since we dined outside on their patio and they even offered a special dog menu which consisted of three healthy choices. We ordered Cesar salad, eggplant parmigiana, pasta with wild boar, fried calamari, linguine con fruitte del mare. I only regret we had no room for dessert. But we will be back to try more. ...

$32.00 Veal piccata was not good, sauce not flavorful and very lemony. Canned tasted spinach and blan potatoes. My child ordered a Alfredo with noodles. $20 dollars for that. Rip off price. It was very delicious though. Mushroom soup is over priced at $15.00 and small portion. Nothing to brag about. Service was very bad. After receiving our order, not once, did we get checked on. Our water cups were empty the whole time. Also, we finished and still sat and waited for the bill, I literally had to raise my hand and wave and imply to come here. Marco was our waiter. When he came, I said check please, he brought water first and then the bill. Only a few people there and no reason to not do your job....
