Take this review as a negative star; I’m visiting San Diego for the first time in 8 years and had high expectations for some Mi Rancho. Once I arrived I noticed the name changed to Burrito Leo (not a big deal), walked in and the entire sitting area was dirty with food on the ground and the tables hadn’t been attended to (not a big deal), but once I received my California Burrito and rolled tacos my mind exploded with disgust; this is not the same restaurant. The Burrito - soggy fries, no guacamole, some odd-tasting green paste, and sour cream - Barf The rolled tacos - extra small with hardly any meat, some odd-tasting paste, not good shredded cheese and crumbled cheese that tasted of parmesan. Everything costs twice as much too, will not eat...
Read moreI ate there this early morning. They just opened. The cook, a young dude, was not very welcoming. He seemed perturbed about having a customer so early. He was not rude but wasn 't friendly either. Typical of those youngyers there days. I felt hate. I ordered a plate of Huevos Rancheros con Jamon It was ok. But I think the re- fried beans wa already bad. It stunk. I did not notice it at first because i ate it with the corn tortillas. But toward the end as I took a spoonful of the beans , i smelled the foul small of a spoiled food and it tasted sour already, so I did not finish it. Bad dining experience. I'll never come back there again. I think that place needs to be inspected by a city restaurant and...
Read moreThe el pastor tacos were DELICIOUS! some of the best I've had in California. The Buché tacos were delectable! Also, the cook made the tacos exactly as I had ordered and even gave some extra Limon. The salsa Verde and Roja tasted amazing as well. I highly recommend. Friend of mine ordered a burrito and it was HUGE and was told how great the seasoning is on the meat. Feels like it's a Mom and Pop shop. The cashier person was really informative about the dishes and answered all my questions about each dish before ordering. This is the perfect authentic place to eat. Definitely made the list on my usual...
