Okay so i see this place all over social media saying it's the best chilaquiles ever, but tbh it's not even close. I came here with my gf and for two orders of chilaquiles and one horchata it was over 41$. I got the chilaquiles cremosos and my gf got the rancheros. When they came out my gf was immediately disappointed and i could see why the amount of meat and sauce was very small and definitely not worth paying 16-17$ for the plate. Furthermore, mine wasn't bad, it had more sauce and a good amount of chicken, the only critique is the chicken was overcooked and dry. The service wasn't the best at least at the start when ordering everything, as soon as we requested to sit outside you could see they had some attitude as they have to walk farther to serve us. I'm not saying i know everything but I've worked in the restaurant industry for about 6 years now. I understand covid makes things difficult but for what you're paying it isn't worth it in my opinion. Just look at all the negative reviews they pretty much complain about the same stuff and it's warranted. If you want to improve i would start with the ordering process, and letting people choose where to sit that goes along way, lastly whoever is cooking train them again or maybe change the recipes up a bit. I don't like writing bad reviews but taking everything into account, i think it's better to say something rather then just...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited Cocina 35 in the past at this location 8-10 times. Today is the first time I visited during COVID. I am a pretty understandable person and I understand that during times of COVID restaurants and their employees may get really busy and have added stress during work. I did not feel comfortable dining in so I ordered for pick up. When you first arrive there is no clear sign that tells you where to order. I decided to go to where it said āpick up ordersā. The young lady that approached me stated that pick up orders needed to be ordered in the front but that she would take my order there as a courtesy. In that same moment, my boyfriend met me and stated he was told by the employees in the front to come order where I was. I am not sure if this makes but it sounds like the employees are not on the same page. This is extremely misleading and frustrating. The young lady then gave us attitude for taking our order there. She stated our food would be ready in 20 minutes. After 10-15 minutes, my boyfriend picked up the food and the chilaquiles were cold and the drinks were ordered tasted old. I am disappointed in the service we received today and expected more. I will not be visiting this location again...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was the second time Iāve been here in about 10 days or so. The first time I came here I ordered the Rancheros Chilaquiles. It has the red sauce and Chorizo on top. It was the best Chilaquiles Iāve ever had at any restaurant. The red onion, cilantro, avocado, sauce, and over easy egg were all a perfect match. On todays' visit I ordered the same thing and I brought 3 of my friends with me. It was really busy around 1045-11am, but thatās to be expected on a Sunday morning. They ordered the same thing I did, the Rancheros plate. They all loved it and were amazed that they hadnāt been here before. The other thing that I have to mention is that every member of the staff is very friendly and helpful. The customer service is outstanding!!! I didnāt catch the name of the hostess at the front door who was seating people. She had face paint on and a costume, which I think is for Halloween or Dia De Los Muertos. She was awesome!!! She gave us all the information and told us that we could make phone orders to go. Also the young lady at the register, Ana H., was also quick and efficient. Thank you all for the great food...
