Gualberto's Mexican Food — Restaurant in San Diego

I went in waited for like a minute or 2 mins in front the counter. Cook seen me... Didn't bother telling me that someone will be with me in a minute he was on his phone the hole time and finally the cashier comes in front when a couple came in and takes their order first tilled I said something to them both that I was here first. Costumer said oh I thought you had already order. Are you serious what the heck am I doing in front of the register looking at the cashier for. She then took my order and I ask for my food for here and calls my order and I go pick it up in front... Minutes later I seen people that orders their food for here and brings their food in the table. That's just total discrimination there. What kind of workers does this place has!!! I'm a supervisor and wouldn't let no employee do this kind of behavior. I make sure my customers are treated with respect and equally.My sister is a lawyer she will take...

I use to come here often due to convenience of location but after today, I am done with this place. My order of 12 rolled tacos still has no barrier between the food and Styrofoam container and so the tacos melted into the container, toxic stuff. I told them several times in the past that even a piece of napkin or wrapping paper would suffice but they still choose to ignore this basic step, for the safety of their customers. In addition, they now choose to nickle and dime their customers with hot sauce. $1.25 for 2 dinky size containers of hot sauce. What's next? You guys going to charge extra for napkins? Go to El Papas Fritas or Rubios folks. They leave their sauces out and you can grab as much...

The food was delicious and the service... let me tell you... it was unparalleled. Very clean atmosphere, and you can tell the owner just loves what she does and wants to take care of people that come into her family restaurant.

I highly recommend getting anything off the menu. I personally had the California burrito and shredded beef taco. My partner had the Thursday Taco special which is $1.45 for 1 street taco and you have 4 to choose from! Looking at all the food that was being served, I would definitely try anything on the menu.

10/10 would definitely and will for sure...
