Alanberto’s — Restaurant in San Diego

Although the food was actually pretty good, the service was horrible and the drive thru line was not moving for a good hour. I visited this place at around 3am on a Sunday morning hoping to get some food after attending to a decent bar but it took too long to order anything. It got to the point that the drivers were just laughing and talking to each other on how ridiculous the line was not moving at all. Even after all this negative stuff about getting the food I was actually surprised on how delicious the food was. Was it worth the wait? Probably not but man I was hungry and I was far from home also it was one of the fewest places that were open. Overall I'm rating it a 2 since it's not an ideal place to order in the middle of the night. However I'll come back to it at a different time maybe in the afternoon or evening to give this place a fair...

6/13/19 AVOID AND GO EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE. This was my go to spot for late night food, I will not eat here again. SMALL BURRITOS (they used to be big and have shrunk by almost 30%) FOOD TASTES BAD OR OLD. the food used to be good but it is now subpar. Guacamole tastes old, the salsas were dif and old, bad food. A NEW LIMIT ON SALSA, THE SALSAS ARE THE TINY CONTAINERS, AND THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME ENOUGH FOR MY FOOD. RUDE STAFF (new people they are rude women. my personal experience was I got in an argument and her boyfriend was there eating and got involved and threatened me. I've been there 2 times. The first time, they were out of buns for tortas, so I just left. The second time, I ordered a chicken quesadilla. The menue says $8.50, but they charged $13.41. I spoke to them, and all they said is its 11.50 in the register. So I asked to speak to a manager but there was no manager. Apparently, they don't need a manager. So I asked for a refund, but they couldn't put it back on the card, so they gave me cash. Fine, whatever. Then they couldn't open the register or know how to do a refund on the register, so they gave me back $13.41 that they scrouged up from the tip jar and the back of the store.
