Los Reyes Mexican Food — Restaurant in San Diego

I love this place!!!! And they love me!!!! Hahah I come here probably 1-2 times a week. So much that I've built that relationship where they all say hi and greet you with a warm smile and even start a conversation. They already know what I always get lol.

I ALWAYS ALWAYS get the carne asada fries here. Love the meat. And what I love most is that instead of regular sprinkled/melted cheese they use nacho cheese! Yes, slimy carne asada fries. It really changed my mind about carne asada fries and I don't eat that anywhere else but here. It gets me really full too.

So many people always ask where I get my fries. And the people I've took here/referred to love it also. The lady in the front who's usually always there is so energetic and sweet. The cook is always so nice also! Love em :) I forgot how I figured out about this place but I'm so glad it's local. I've been knowing about it for probably a little more than 2 years.

OH And to that review down there VVVVV They don't have a drive thru. That one is down the street....

California Burrito Rating (#27)

On the hunt for the best California Burrito in town! This is already my 27th stop — today’s spot: Los Reyes Mexican Food.

The Burrito: They brought out a huge, steaming hot burrito. First bite — delicious sauce, probably sour cream-based. What really stands out is the potato — big chunks instead of the usual fries. The marinated meat is full of flavor! The cheese, avocado, and other ingredients blend perfectly. They make their own sauces here, and the taste is about the same as most other places. 7 out of 10

Service: Friendly and patient staff. You can also order from your car and get your food without leaving it — first time I’ve tried a California Burrito from a Mexican café with drive-thru service. 7 out of 10

Atmosphere: Mexican vibes come mainly from the music videos playing on TV. It’s a comfy roadside spot — relatively clean and decently nice...

They lock the door 2 hours before they close thinking someone is gonna rob them they food is not the best and they service suck so does they employees....... I’ve called there phone and they don’t answer it stays busy then you go to the taco shop and no one is in there buying food so why can’t they answer the phone......I live right on the same block as them always go there but after today I will never spend my money there again..... rather go 30 seconds away to (MORISCOS ALTATA) at least they kno how to service ppl..... what person likes to order threw the drive in window when they come walking to...
