Soooo, I had need to wait around for my hiking buddy to wrap up on Cowles Mountain Barker Way since he went all the way to Pyles Peak, and I greatly dislike the heat, so I ended up at this air conditioned Starbucks! REALITY CHECK: a spartan clean cafe with no need for a bathroom code lock, WHAAAT?? I didn’t think this existed in the SD region! Well, here I am! And the Baristas are great and super efficient, and cheerful, and Mitch so full of great energy zipping around making sure all is well, greeting every single person from the heart!! The music loop was one of the best I’ve heard in a long time! My mango dragonfruit water based no added dried fruit (because I tried it regular just once and a drip of purple on my shirt ruined my outing, and it does not taste any different to me without said fruit) refresher was spot on! Sometimes the base tastes like overkill but this one was perfect! Sadly no SB brownies available which although a processed food, are my fave warmed brownie out!! Potato cheddar egg bites were yummy though, and so was my standard bacon, egg, Gouda, which I ate before I thought to do a review! Ha! If you are ever in the area stop on in! You will enjoy the sparkle at this place! Must have a great manager! ...
Read moreVery rude black female barista employee. Did not know how to do my drink and was rudely telling me in front other customers to tell her what to add to my Trento ice tea that was half way full. She was very angry and went to the back to get somebody else to do it and also told her how to do it correctly but then he came out and ended up doing it. Extremely rude and disrespectful black lady. Everybody makes the drinks different and as a customer that has been ordering the same drinks for years it is wrong to argue and mistreat a customer or purposely leave her to wait over 15 minutes to get back at her for complaining that drink tasted bad and asked to remake it. Starbucks has a policy the if its not made right the variety will remake it right. Also another time made me wait after everyone behind me in line got their drink and still would not do my drink and male barista told me to sit and wait cause it was going to take a long time to redo my drink. I was there 30 minutes. Staff gets mad with customers for complaining that their drink is bad and you will get bad service abd attitude for complaining. Some baristas do my drink right and some don't. Not the best...
Read moreNice store, then it becomes a pain in the a$$. Try another location. Walk in get greeted, that's great. Then, give your order to the Baristas, always polite. Now, go stand in the tiny corner and wait. EVERYONE else is standing in a tiny, table crowded corner in the back, waiting for their drink to be placed on the counter, where all the other drinks in white cups are waiting, while some other customer, in very low lighting, is picking up each cup looking for his or her name. As my daughter says....Eww. ERGONOMICAL FAILURE!! Starbucks, Really?? Put the order desk in the corner. No brainer guys. Not rocket science, just common sense. Cannot believe No one at Starbucks sees this as an inconvenience?? Again...Too busy counting money to care....
