The manager is completely heartlessly stoic, and wouldn't stop talking to this short Sammy character about their daily lives, while my drink went unmade.
Karina who kept yammering loudly at "another shift" about scolding their constant mistakes; very unprofessional. She then went into the back and left her staff deal with a line out the door.
Another occurrence I was helped by Kim who was nothing but exceptional. She rung me up made my drink and talked with me about cats. Much better customer skills than her superiors.
All in all I'd recommend going to the Starbucks on black mountain road where they actually care about treating customers right. This one doesn't care about you unless you're a student or faculty at one of their neighbouring schools. I hope for your sake that Kim is the one who helps you. Or Grace. They're the only ones who care about customers and their stores well being. I've never felt more insulted by stores management then at the Carmel valley Starbucks.

Read moreFrustrated!!!!! My favorite coffee has been watered down on daily basis, need to train employees better. Have been going to this location for 3 years, about to stop. They are nice and are willing to remake but still tastes bad. Used to be perfect. Now it tastes like watered down gas station coffee. New people not getting it done, train them!!!! I have made multiple trip back to store this has happened at least 8 times last 4 without even a sorry. Training!!!! Should not be like Christmas morning every time I taste my coffee.
