The Grill and Deli — Restaurant in San Diego

Terrible food and even more terrible service… but what should I have expected from a convenience store. First off the girl at the counter couldn’t be bothered to get off her phone and help me. Then I order an omelet and ask what comes in it, she’s says you choose. So I order bacon and sausage. It comes out with onions, peppers and mushrooms and I ask why, she then says ya next time just ask for no onions… so I digress and decide to pick around it all. After trying and failing at that I decide I’ll eat the hash browns that came with it… take one bite and the potatoes are cold in the middle. So now I decide to eat the toast, nope it’s barely toasted and soggy as can be.

Run from this place as fast as you can....

I seriously love this place. Its great if you work nearby, they are quick and efficient for those on their lunch breaks.

The bacon breakfast burrito is sublime. I cannot say enough good things about it. Just get it, to hell with your diet. You won't regret it.

They also have amazing French fries which you can get in the morning. 😍😍😍

I also recommend you ask for several pieces of soft bacon. It comes in a tin foil envelope and its so delicious. Sometimes I'll bring it to the office with me and the place will smell like bacon. Everyone gets upset with me because now they want bacon too. They all end up leaving early to come to the very same deli. Bacon Causality complete. Its a beautiful thing.

Friendly, cheerful, accommodating staff. It was my first time here. I ordered a Turkey club for lunch. When it arrived I realized I meant to order a turkey sandwich that comes with sprouts and avacados. Shockingly, the cook said, "no poroblem," and threw some on my sandwich. The clerk, the owner, the cook are all so sweet there that I hesitate to write this review, but honestly the sandwich was not healthy or tasty. There was a lot of bread and very little meat. There were several other customers. So I believe they do a lot of business. The clerk at my hotel said she liked to eat there. So, maybe the turkey club was a poor food choice on my part. Order...
