The only other place I'd tried this type of noodle before was at JCHF nearby. I am definitely a noodle person, so I Googled for some restaurants selling it in my area, and I found this other one.
My ma and I came in for my birthday dinner today, and it was pretty satisfying. I got the beef and she got the seafood with no shrimp. Prior to coming here, she never had this style of noodles before since we're Canto and don't eat the other Chinese cuisines much, but I have tried some in LA, NYC and China. My ma is such a picky eater; if she says a place is good, it's good. And she liked the balanced and delish flavors here.
Firstly, their knife cut noodles are handmade, so their texture is superior to those packaged ones. To top it off, Potato Powder's soup broth seems kinda salty, but it was good enough for me and my ma. I added seaweed and bok choy, so the two of us ate for $36.
The location's pretty handy, since they are located in a plaza near other restaurants and a supermarket in downtown SG.

Read moreThis is truly a hidden gem! I could not have been more surprised trying potato noodles especially when I stumbled upon the original location in City Industry. I can only say this is another world of comfort food unlocked. I thought it could not get any better but after the San Gabriel location opening up, I have to say the flavor here is turned up a whole other notch! I would be selfish not sharing this special hole in the wall. I wish I took a picture but it's even more surprising once you taste the flavor profile. Read moreAddicting potato noodles, very hot, so eat carefully. The portions is good size with many ingredients stuffed inside, I had the tomato soup two times already. Forgot the full name, but the numbing soup have a smooth feeling in mouth. The smell of cumin motivates the appetite.
They have knife cut and thick type noodles. You can have both. Free drink but self-serve.
