Petrillo's Pizza — Restaurant in San Gabriel

I like the food at petrillos, it is very good, but not good enough to be mistreated by the staff. I have been there in the past, and had many bad experiences with very grumpy waitresses. now last night's waitress was nice, but the service from the rest of the staff was horrible. I arrived early in order to get the food started because we had a large party, they refused to seat me and my children because it is their policy to take everyones order at once, that makes sense but I was paying the entire bill and was going basically order pizza, any way we waited When we finally were seated apparently we sat in the wrong area (we followed the hostess) , my niece was at the front of the restaurant when she heard the hostess talking about my family to the waitress in a derogatory manner. Next the other large party that was seated well after ours received their complimentary bread and butter way before we ever did, as a matter of fact we had been seated for over a half hour before I finally went to the kitchen and demanded that we get our bread. They brought us our bread when they brought us our food. The bottom line is that beginning from the owner, manager, and down to the hostess, it is not okay to treat customers in this manner. The owners of this establishment need to understand that it is the customers that make a business successful, and they truly have forgotten that. It may not make a differance but I will never return there! Maybe if they offend and mistreat enough customers they will have to stop being so condescending, rude, and just plain snobs to...

3/7/20 Our family went to this location to celebrate my son birthday. We were told there would be a 20 min wait we ended waiting 45mins, not good. The service was ok nothing special, but if that wasnt bad enough. My husband went to pay for the bill which was 3 figures, it was busy at the time near the register so my husband did hear the girl at the register well. Even so we later discover on our bill that a was a charge for a $30.00 tip which they just help themselves to and this was not authorized by my husband, not to mention we left a tip at the table. I call the next morning to ask for our money back and the answer from the owner Mike said that there is a 18% gratitude. What brothers me most is how do u just add a gratuity. How about if service was bad and we didnt want to leave any gratuity and they just take one any way without making my husband aware of this. Well is there a law some were that I have to pay any gratuity at all. Wow. People look at ur bill carefully before u pay. I hate to say this but this felt a little sneaky on there part. We have been going to this pizzeria for year as take out, and the one time we go to there restaurant this is what happen. So again watch ur bill bedore u pay. One more thing the owner brother that was on duty came out to ask if we would take a pizza that was cancel we thought he was offering this with out charge for our long wait and his responce was very rude. Came to dine in for the first time and felt like I was being pranked. As we were waiting, we over hear the waitress in distress over a party asking to split the bill in three. She stated she needed them to "walk (her) through it". The party seemed so lost at the fact the she couldn't divide a bill in three. We waited around 15 mins to be seated because no one could clean off a table for us. The waitress seemed to be annoyed at us for ordering. The food was lacking in flavor. The fettuccine had no salt or cheese which made it taste like heavy cream out of the can. At the end, the hostess brought us our change stating our change was "54, 54..." then abruptly left with our receipt. I've never been to a place that hands you your change without a receipt for confirmation. Lastly, the floor was littered with food or scraps especially around the seats. Only positives were the busser was attentive providing us plates as well as extra butter and the strawberry candy at the end. Definitely not going back. Sad to see this place...
