Went to get lunch today at El Mesón Sándwiches in San German, Puerto Rico. The food was great as always… Caribe Sandwich combo with a Viandas soup. BUT, they have no concept of dog friendliness or even common sense. Placed my order through the drive thru because was with my service dog and hate bothering people inside public places. Once at the window I asked the attendant for a glass of water for my pup, this is is how it went:
Me: Hi could you please give me a glass of water no ice for my dog?
Attendant: hold on… (Attendant closes window and talks to someone)
Attendant: how big you need it
Me: well the 16oz paper cup would be nice, she is really thirsty
Attendant: hold on… (Attendant closes window again and talks to someone)
Attendant: here (hands me a 4oz plastic glass of water)
Me: Could you give me the big one?
Attendant: Sorry my manager (Nadya) says this is all I can give out or you buy a bottle of water.
Me: What is your manager’s name?
Attendant: closes window and talks to her manager
Attendant: gives me an 8oz paper cup now.
Me: what is your manager’s name?
Attendant: looks at her manager. Manager comes.
Me: what is your name?
Manager: how can I help you.
Me: read her name on the tag NADYA. You can’t help me Nadya. Bye.

They do not have at least 1 door that is suitable for handicap people to have ease of access in or, out. Also, the cashier who attends to customers did not follow my order request for food to go. All was served on a tray when I specifically requested 1 meal to eat inside and another meal to bag it to go. Had to ask for bag at table. One very assertive young lady who became aware of my handicap offered to take my tray to my table. The table was clean and had great access for my wheel-walker. I disliked the pile of stacked chairs in the establishment. The place was very clean. The Manager was attentive and helpful when I called him, his employees where quite busy helping others. Love...
Read moreLove the service and cleanliness. The employees are very attentive and smiling, even I wasn't smiling that day. The food, can not argue, very tasty, well done and rich. They have vegeterian meals for those not meat-eating fellows. Took my elderly parents for a visit, and they were delighted with their orders. The prices are moderate-to-high, but won't exchange that for a delicious meal, neatly cleaned facilities and excellent services. Overall, El Meson Sandwishes of San Germán, didn't let me down. Excellent...
