SJ’s BEST CHILAQUILES?! Consider this Part 4 of my quest for the best chilaquiles in the valley and I think we found our contender. Taqueria Azteca is the epitome of a sleeper hit, it’s so GOOD, you can’t miss this. It’s authentic and the closest I’ve gotten to San Diego level of yummy Mexican cuisine. Trust me when I say I know my Chilaquiles at this point, I’m a little obsessed with this place.

Ever since I got more into chilaquiles last month, I’ve been hunting down great, local Mexican businesses. San Jacinto is winning with this place. Located at the heart of little Main Street, I walked in and found my self craving a late Mexican brunch. I ordered the red chilaquiles which came with beans, an overeasy egg, and I of course paired it with a large Jamaica drink. It was perfect!

My order was taken by a shy, slightly awkward guy who was very professional and quick. I was on a time crunch and they whipped up my meal in a flash. The ingredients are fresh, you can taste it. It’s incredible that this place is so efficient AND effective. The place is calm, clean and inviting. Had I had more time I would’ve spent the afternoon here.

There’s tables inside and a nice little nook with stools facing the street. It’s definitely my vibe and reminds me of a cool joint you’d find in...

You know the feeling. You have been driving and the hunger bug raises its head.

With a plan to go to the town of San Jacinto either named for our famous mountain looming in the distance or the other way around, I arrived in this small community and proceeded down Main Street.

There tucked at the end of the street, was this small Mexican restaurant.

I ordered quesadillas to go. While waiting, I struck up a great conversation with a woman who lived here 22 years.

Definitely recommend. I hadn't such a flavorful quesadilla in a...

Wife found this place, while waiting for her printing order at NAMERRS. She was very excited to tell me, how good this restaurant was. So, this past Sunday. We stopped by, and I ordered my favorite Mexican dish, the Machaca Plate and my wife ordered the Steak plate. By the time we were finished. The plate was empty. Everything was OUTSTANDING. Please support this local small business. We will definitely be coming back. This is a GEM in the Hemet/San...
