Bill McBride - here - I wrote this review over five years ago. That was pre-Covid, and while nothing has changed, yet everything has changed.
Among your own family and friends you most likely lost loved ones to that invisible virus. Some people lived to tell their Covid-19 story yet millions worldwide were killed by the pandemic. The ALANO CLUB of San Jose lost many members too.
Zoom Meetings evolved during 2020 and 2021 here at the Club, and have been so popular that they are still offered here on a daily basis.
Major upgrades have been made in the Gobble Cafe. New menu boards, new menu fare, and a new grill have all been added. A new counter for our Members and Future Members should be constructed before the New Year begins in 2024.
A new management team is anticipated to be hired within the near future. Tony Baron, club manager came out of retirement to help the Board manage the ALANO CLUB once again. Tony has over 50 years of experience with the management challenges of this dynamic organization, which is funded mostly by membership dues.

Membership is not required, but Club members get a generous discount on food, books, and...
Read moretotally rude and biased against anyone who isn't a member. I give them 2 stars just because this place is a sanctuary for those that seek help for there addiction issues. the staff and members are self absorbed and cocky. it's a wonder any new people even come here. I guess if u want help you will seek it out and not let anyone stand In your way. but the attitudes were a total turn off for me and I doubt it will be back any time soon. at least until they exhibit some type of decency as human beings. no thanks alano club. I rather get high then associate myself with such arrogance. maybe that's my addiction speaking. maybe not. but you never get a second chance to make a first impression and they left a nasty...
