Bonchon Silver Creek — Restaurant in San Jose

I ordered Medium Combo from here via UberEats due to SIP with Covid-19. It shows that “Comes with a side of pickled daikon radish.” and just “Add a side (for extra cash)” like the screenshot. So I didn’t choose side and I expected my menu would come with pickled radish. But I got only chicken and no side.

When I called them, I talked with the manager finally, she said that it comes with a pickled daikon radish OR a coleslaw and I had to choose. What??? So I told her that it seems that description on UberEats wrong. She didn’t understand what I was saying so I said I will leave a review about this on review sites and then she said she will let them modify the description.

Until the end of the call, I didn’t get any apologies and any discounts for missing item. They just told me that leave a comment from next time.

When you think common sense, you will serve any side menu if customer didn’t choose a side, isn’t it? And if there was a mistake by yourself, you will discount at least for the missing item, right?

I had no worthy to talk with anymore and hang up the phone.

I strongly not recommend using delivery from this restaurant. They don’t care...

Ordering online sucks. The app took the order before the store opens (opens at 11:30am). Got an email that says the order will be ready at 11:35am. I thought I would wait until 11:40am to give them some time. I went in to see if my order was ready. The boy that works there said that it will be ready in 5mins. 15mins later, I went in again and the boy said it will be ready in 10mins because they have a big order that they needed to fill before my small single order. It is close to noon now and I am still waiting for my order. Then I asked if they can just cancel my order since it wasn't prep yet and just provide me a refund. At that time...the older guy (seems to be the manager) said let me check the back. He went to the back and came out with my order in less than 1min. Got home and ate the chicken wings...flavor(or lack there of) was not what I expected from Bonchon. Waste...

Went to pick up a meal for someone else. The staff is friendly and attentive but lack leadership and a sense of responsibility. We informed one employee of a large dead roach at the front door. That employee informed another, who in turn passed the info onto another and it just kept getting passed along to someone else. Service was slow. It took 25 minutes to get the food. When we left, nobody had done a thing about the roach. Not really as surprised as I should be. The windows and ceiling are coated in webs. Real webs, not early Halloween decorations. They weren't fresh webs either, judging by the thick coat of dust on them and the large amount of dead flies trapped in them. How do you pass inspection? An eating establishment should be spotless. If this is how poorly kept the restaurant is out in the open, where anyone can see, how can we trust any food coming out of that...
