At first, I assumed this was solely a poke restaurant, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover they also had a huge roll menu. The establishment itself is rather small, featuring four tables and a couple of high-chair bars. Despite its size, it's efficiently organized to accommodate more people. The lady who took our order was incredibly helpful in explaining the menu options that included cooked fish and meat. Our selections were the Hot Salmon Roll, Ultra California Roll, and Tempura. The Ultra California Roll, topped with unagi, was quite enjoyable. Surprisingly, the Hot Salmon Roll wasn't spicy; instead, it leaned toward the sweeter side due to the presence of seaweed salad and a generous amount of Korean chili. It was somewhat overloaded with chili, making it a bit challenging to savor it like a traditional roll; it had to be eaten directly. The Tempura was also satisfying, featuring only one tempura and assorted fried vegetables. Although the flavors were delightful, the only drawback was that the rolls weren't tightly constructed. When we attempted to eat them, they tended to fall apart, which was a bit disappointing. We couldn't eat the usual way of topping with the fresh ginger, wasabi and dipping it in soy sauce.

Well, honestly, I went to have a poke bowl but changed my mind after watching the pictures of sushi on the wall. Most of the menu items have their pictures on the wall, so it was easy for us to choose. Prices seemed right after I found the quantity very hearty and fulfilling. The servers were so gentle and helped me order correctly. We ordered salmon baked roll, deep sea roll, and another one, which I forgot the name but gobbled fast enough to not have a regret.

What’s great are the fresh ingredients and thick chunks of salmon. Gotta to give them that. But, I thought my poke bowl tasted bland even after soy sauce on the side. I expected saucy, well-marinated, flavorful fish since it’s poke not sashimi. Veggies were cut too thick, and I had a hard time mixing my bowl. Oh and the raw onions — I wanted them, but not in this quantity nor so thickly sliced 😰 Highly recommend ordering without onions!

My friend and I stopped in for poke bowls and were pleasantly surprised. The prices are reasonable, and the bowls with sashimi are delicious. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed since we came during a slower time. Dont knock this place until you try it. It's worth it, and we'll definitely be back!

If you're curious, here's what we ordered:

Dragon Roll - $ 17.00 Salmon Hand Roll - $8.00

Poke Bowl (Friend's) - $18.00 Salmon x2 ($3.00) Avocado ($2.00) All Rice (no salad) Sauce: Ponzu Sauce, Spicy Mayo & Unagi Sauce No Jalapeño

Poke Bowl (Mine) - $1 8.00 Salmon x2 ($3.00) Avocado ($2.00) Crabmeat ($2.00) All Rice (no salad) Sauce: Ponzu Sauce & Unagi Sauce No Cucumber No Jalapeño

I have been to a lot of poke places around the bay area, and sometimes I eat it multiple times a week.

I got the chef's special poke here, which comes with all their fish options, and it was absolutely delicious. They told me that they use fresh salmon and tuna instead of frozen, and you can tell from the quality. The rest of the ingredients to complete the large rectangular plate were also delicious, and I always love places that serve tobiko rather than masago (or at least have it as an option).

I will keep coming back here when I am in the area, or even go out of my way to come back again. You should check them out and support their business, they are very...
