We have been going to the Evergreen village square location of Curry Pizza House since their opening. The service from the staff who are in the kitchen or waiting was generally good. If you are planning to dine in, expect a higher price with some decent service from the staff.
The place used to have an amazing selection of pizzas but of late their offerings are becoming stale compared to what is available outside in the general area. The atmosphere inside is pretty good and I would give five stars for their location as well as the ambiance.
Parking is available in the front of the restaurant in the village square. It is a bit easy or tough depending on the time and day. Weekends generally tend to be more open in the daytime except for Sundays when there is a Farmers market happening. There is parking in the back of the restaurant which acts as an overflow when you're not able to get parking in the front of the restaurant. There are a couple of good neighborhood options for eating around this place and hence the parking at the side tends to be full.
The restaurant is very spacious, clean and maintained well most of the time that we have dined in.
Update: Jan 2025 Recently, we had a party arranged for our daughter's birthday party. My wife had made the reservation for the party area inside, way back in December. She called last week to confirm the reservation and was told that the reservation was still good. But subsequently, someone called to let us know that they had to kick us out of the party area. Apparently, there was another group of 40 that had booked on a different day but who called to move their event to the day that we had planned ours. The manager Jass and a lady who identified herself the owner (or manager) kept giving us different versions of what was the reason for canceling our reservation. Please note that this came a day before the event and we could not find any alternate locations. They offered to provide us the general area that was open right in front when you enter the restaurant. Given ours was a reservation done ahead of time and we had a group of 20 kids coming in, we needed the private space. One of the excuses they made was that they had called to let us know that the reservation was canceled in early January. We looked at our call logs and found no such record of a missed call or a voicemail. When we asked them about when they had called and why they did not leave a voicemail, they gave a weird reason that they can only call but not leave voicemails. How convenient!
The staff and the manager/owners were quite unwilling to provide a fair resolution since the other party had 40 people. They finally claimed that an employee who took the reservation wrote down the dates incorrectly and was responsible for this issue which sounded totally bogus.
We decided to host the party at home and planned to still order from them. The discounts they offered were not adequate to compensate us for the issue. We finally got better service at a different place for ordering desi style pizzas.
As a principle, I do not support businesses that are unable to keep up with their promises. Hence, if you are planning an event, please make sure that you do not plan it here. They do not have a reservation system and the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. You are on your own and are doing the reservation at the risk of...
Read moreWe were surprised by how quickly the pizzas were prepared! We've had to wait 30+ min for our pizza before at other restaurants, so it was great that we could dig in sooner. For our first visit, we tried the Curry Chicken Masala pizza and the Mexican pizza. The Curry Chicken Masala pizza impressed us; each bite was just as good as the first haha. It's listed as a spicy dish, but we found it to be VERY mild and wished it were hotter. We also wanted to try a pizza that we're more familiar with, so we ordered the Mexican pizza. I forgot to take a picture, but it tasted decent. While it didn't impress us as much, it's a solid option. Crusts for both pizzas were on the softer end; I personally prefer it to be crunchy, but the rest of my family liked it. Overall, this is a nice addition to EV square.
Edit 6/18/18: Had the opportunity to try their chili paneer, tandoori chicken, and butter chicken pizzas. Tandoori chicken would have to be our favorite out of all the ones we've tasted! (FYI, you can choose two options for one pizza; they'll prepare the first half with your first choice, and the second half with your...
Read moreI used to be a regular customer there and used to give suggestions to my knowns for giving a try to this place but the quality of the pizza and service is deteriorating by time just opposite to the price. Paying this much gives us an expectation of a good service and food quality but it was really disappointing what happened with me the last time. We just order as usual their popular butter chicken and achari chicken and this time it make me to be sure about not visiting this place ever Again!!! the chicken was flavor less, rotten and it was uncooked , a perfect combo to get food poisoning!!The thing made the visit experience even worse was the customer service which was literally zero. there was barely someone in the staff willing to take care of the customer’s experience about the food or the necessities on the tables. Definitely never going to visit again. plenty of option are available in the competition of this store with the better quality and would love to spend there instead of getting a stale food and negative vibes...
