Let's start with the positives, shall we? The ambiance of Erik's DeliCafe is like a warm, cozy blanket wrapped around my soul. The rustic decor and charming atmosphere create a delightful backdrop for a meal. The staff, bless their cotton socks, were a cheerful bunch. They greeted me with smiles and served me with a speed that could make a cheetah blush. Kudos to them for keeping up with the hustle and bustle.
Now, onto the food. Erik's DeliCafe, you've got quite the menu, my friend. A plethora of options to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. From sandwiches to salads, you've got it all. And the flavors, oh boy, the flavors! When the food was on point, it was like a culinary symphony in my mouth. Each bite danced with an explosion of taste that would make Gordon Ramsay weep tears of joy.
However, and here's where the rollercoaster takes a sharp turn, consistency seemed to be a foreign concept at Erik's DeliCafe. On more than one occasion, I found myself scratching my head and wondering if the kitchen staff were playing a cruel game of gastronomic roulette. One day, the sandwich would be a work of art, with fresh ingredients and a harmonious balance of flavors. But the very next day, it was as if a gremlin had taken over the kitchen, serving up a sad excuse for sustenance that left me questioning the existence of good taste.
And let's not forget about the price, my dear Erik's DeliCafe. Now, I understand that quality comes at a cost, but some of your prices made me feel like I was funding a covert mission to Mars. I appreciate the effort that goes into creating delicious food, but my wallet wept a little every time I handed over my hard-earned cash for a meal that left me with mixed feelings.
In the end, Erik's DeliCafe, you are a fascinating enigma. A tantalizing blend of highs and lows that keeps me coming back for more, despite the occasional disappointment. So, my advice to fellow adventurers seeking sustenance: approach with caution, embrace the unpredictable, and be prepared to have your taste buds taken on a wild ride. Erik's DeliCafe, you may be flawed, but you've got a charm that's hard to resist.
But seriously, sort out the consistency issues, will ya? I don't need my taste buds to feel like they're on a never-ending episode of "Iron Chef: Russian Roulette Edition." Cheers, you magnificent culinary...
Read moreThis is probably just another venue which have been overrated by the regular customer base.
Had a simple lunch with a business contact and we both felt the experience was average at best. I had a cup of the house Chili which was tasty and a warm roast beef sandwich.
The sandwich experience was very average and sad to report, the toppings or for that matter the bread did not compliment the roast beef or enhance the taste at all.
With a review score of 4++ we were both quite disappointed with the lunch.
A sandwich should be a symphony in taste, with all the ingredients coming together and not made with tasteless lettuce and unripe / bland tomatoes etc., a touch Erik's...
Read moreI was having trouble on ordering online, so I didn't hit the pay button and went to the store. Of course they can't find my order, but they were so kind and patiently trying their best to help me out. Once they found out the reason they didn't have my order, they told me to wait a little and they did it in no time at all. I tried different Erik's in San Jose and Mt. View but I think they have the freshest food and the best! That's why I always go back to this one Erik's Deli Cafe located in Orhard Town Center on Cottle Road, no matter how far I was away from it. I had Abbott's Habit because it has the least calories. I had tried their Clam Chowder soup before...
