Miyuki Japanese Restaurant — Restaurant in San Jose

I was ecstatic when I heard about this amazing Japanese restaurant in East SJ. I used to have to drive cross town to get a decent Japanese food, which I regularly crave for. And Miyuki did not disappoint me. Best Japanese food in San Jose IMO!!! Fish always fresh and I can tell it was expertly sliced by a sushi master! Not just a paper thin fish like most places! And the service is really great as well (Thanks Jason & Andrew!) I became a regular instantly and really hope they will do well and keep their standard high.

Chef Steve is amazing. I always enjoy his creations. And he also has a pleasant personality too which makes it even better!

ADDED: This place is like the 'Cheers' place to me. As you can see I keep adding photos as I go there 1-2 times a week. Food is amazing, of course. But the ambience and people! Chef Steve & the crews are really nice and make me feel so comfortable every time I go there which is why it's my go-to place whenever I want to eat out. This particular location has had a lot of stores come and go in the past years, but after trying this spot, I think it is here to stay!

We came with a big group for a family lunch on a weekday. Their lunchtime specials are great. The bento boxes come with a lot of every item you order. For example, the edamame is the size of a whole appetizer. We all either got a bento box or a roll. There's plenty of rolls to choose from. We also shared karaage which was juicy and crispy.

I don't recall the particular names of our roles, but I think you can't go wrong with anything you choose. The fish quality was good and the portions were great as well.

The service was quick and friendly. Despite our big group, they were so accommodating and not chaotic at all. The ambience of the store is relaxed and clean. It has a modern look to it.

I think the prices are awesome especially for how much they pack the food on in the bento boxes. I am looking forward to my next...

I just finished my meal and decided to leave a review while waiting for my girlfriend finishing her plates.

This place has the best deep fried sushi roll I've ever eaten and I was never a big fan of Japan food in the first place!

My main dish was the chicken udon and the portion was as big as Pho and that isn't something common.

The price is very reasonable considering you are eating authentic Japanese food. The deal is even better for lunch meals.

There were total of 3 waiter/waitress serving the tables and we got to asked how we were doing 4-5 times during our meals!

These dishes also looks very good for Instagram/TikTok for you social media fans.

Overall, I'm highly recommend this place for your next Japanese food....
