La Costa — Restaurant in San Jose

Horrible 😢 I don't know who is in the kitchen but horrible food quality! The customer service in front was good, the guy was very welcoming and professional. Once we received the food was all bad! Unfortunately I wasn't able to take a pic because my 🔋 was extremely low. Ok so I ordered 2 plates of chicken quesadilla. The rice and beans were ok, but the "quesadilla" was just a large flower tortilla with very little cheese and I mean close to no cheese...and the pieces of chicken were cut horribly (they were huge) and had no flavor whatsoever...same for my tostadas, the shrimp wasn't even cut and the 🐙 pieces where huge!! You could tell they did it in a hurry and didn't even try to make it look or taste presentable! Sadly we won't be coming back here! Oh btw...they had no other customers... Gotta love it when my lady shows me All-Star Restaurants! I had never been to Mariscos before but I'll definitely be coming back for more! Thanks Babe!

I smashed their fish tacos. And would do it again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend. I don't know if they offer grilled fish, but the fry on the tacos was still unbelievable. These tacos were the kind of tacos I dream of. Kinda reminded me of that one scene in I Love You, Man when Jason Segel and Paul Rudd are bonding over dinner. You know the food is good when you and your lady (or friend, coworker, significant other, undercover lover etc.) are taking bite after bite with little to no words exchanged in between.

I also tried their seafood mix tostada which had shrimp, octopus, and crab( imitation crab I think). Started to get full towards the end but ate almost all of that bad...

As others have noted, be careful of being overcharged. Recently came 30 minutes before closing, ordered a number of items that came out to $39. They normally give a receipt with an order number, this time they didn't. Got home and noticed, a taco was swapped for a burrito, which is $6 more. After tax, the order was $13 more than it should have been, but still unsure how it could've added up to $39.

No other customers were there. It's not possible that it was mixed with someone else's order.

Been coming here since the tacos were $1.25 and they accepted credit cards. They're cash only now and tacos are $3. Long time patron and supporter, but I won't be going back after...
