Review written during COVID-19, onsite / takeout order. Thank you to everyone at La Costa for showing up and helping out at such times! ================================== Friday's have turned into Mexican nights - so it doesn't matter where we are we try to look for local Mexican places to eat. Orders: bean and cheese burrito, wet veggie burrito, pastor tacos Food: since we ordered and got it to go ASAP, the food was hot! It's always nice to have hot takeout. Pastor tacos: come as smaller tacos - with a heap of meat. The flavors were there, seems like everyone has their own pastor recipe. This was good, but we've had better. Not sure if they have a spit in the back, but it was a bit dry. Wet Burrito: this comes with green sauce, which is really runny. Again good flavor, but makes for a very soggy experience. The filling was well balanced, good portion of beans, rice, etc. But the burrito sat in a watery sauce, which was hard to pull through the burrito fixings. Bean Burrito: typical, beans were bland, and runny as well. The burrito was wrapped up onto itself, more like a bean roll, than a wrapped bean burrito. Overall: they had a good selection, I think everyone has their own taste profiles and we may have ordered the wrong things here. But glad we were able to keep our new Friday tradition.

8.8/10 super burrito Honestly one of the best burritos I've had in San Jose. I was really surprised. Really good size. Cheap for the area at $12. This is one of my best scores for a burrito. Super moist and I could taste all of the flavors and juices I can taste every single filling put inside. Meat has great flavor. Rice, sour cream, salsa, cilantro, onions, everything is great. I tried their tacos too and ceviche and was really surprised how good they are too. The only thing that can make this better is a homemade tortilla which is rare to find, but nonetheless this is definitely a place worth trying and I for sure recommend it. Service is great. Outdoor seating in some shade. I'll be going back to try more soon

Ugh I freaking love La Costa. Any of them. Their menu is simple, but delicious. Trust me when I say, they do not play with their tostadas. It’s a meal in itself and ridiculously good. However, we are disgusting and always order something on top of that. You won’t regret stopping here. It’s fast and the service is friendly and efficient. This location is cash only, but they have an atm in the restaurant too.

Usually I freaking love this place. Today I ordered a shrimp & avocado burrito as well as a steak super quesadilla and a large soda. My total came to almost 18bux. Decently priced.

Now maybe it was my imagination (or just coincidence) but the employees chatting... I initially took notice as one of their eyes opened wide like maybe something was wrong? Not sure, No matter, overlooked.

Anyway my food was ready pretty damn fast. Impressive. I live down the street so I walked it home in the matter of minutes. I get home and take a couple of bites into my steak quesadilla. It was definitely a little spicier than usual. Now although I dont typically order this item there, my roommate does all the time, and its typically never that spicy.

Id be a bigger fan of this if i didnt just recover from gastrointestinal surgery just a few weeks ago. :( Other than that, Portions, pricing & flavor...
