I don't often bother leaving bad reviews I just chalk the situation up to a learning experience or a mistake never to be repeated. However this needs to be said because never have I had such a terrible hospitality experience in my life. Recently while attending a conference in San Jose I stayed here because all the hotels closer to the the convention center showed as booked. I began calling around to make sure I had a place and finally got this booking. Unfortunately no one mentioned at the time of booking that the property was being renovated. The property was abysmal. I was charged a luxury hotel room rate per night and although I appreciate supply and demand with the best of them this was nothing short of gouging. The only time I've seen an ironing board without a cover on it has been at home when washing my own and yet I saw that twice in both rooms when I stayed here. Now discovering this only after arriving put me in what I can only describe as a vulnerable and angered position. Having no other options I stayed and made the best of a terrible situation. They double charged my credit card and if that wasn't enough the manager had the audacity to to claim that many people never pay so they had to protect their business. I've attached a few pictures because in cases such as these seeing is believing and no one traveling should ever have to be subject to this kind of bad business antics. I can say with 💯 certainty that Days Inn will never get any patronage from me ever again. The one bad apple adage definitely rings true for this chain. As I typically wouldn't paint all locations with the same brush after sharing my experience through a survey/rate your stay I thought for sure someone would reach out and follow up but as I've heard nothing in a month I thought this might help some unsuspecting traveler avoid a similar situation.

This hotel should not exist. I made the mistake of booking it for work trip without looking at reviews. It's completely run down to the point that it's not safe. I booked two nights and crashed on friend's couch after spending one night at this place. My room was filthy. Splatter on the wall, dirt on the carpet, sticky filth on surfaces. Furniture was broken. Lamps broken. Stains on the chair. Door had clearly been kicked in multiple times - jamb was held by a few nails. Thankfully, bed linen was relatively clean (small stains did not count at this point). The motel itself is sketchy. There was construction trash dumped outside my window on hotel grounds. There's pool, but it was closed by department of health. There was supposed to be breakfast, but breakfast area seems to be doubling up as hotel manager's kitchen and living quarters, so that was not even mentioned. I had a drugged up girl sitting in front of my room for a couple hours, smoking cigarettes one after another and mumbling something non stop. The area is a mess. Homeless wandering the sidewalks, burned out conifers across the street with homeless shack in between them. You should only book this as a last resort or if you like extreme visceral tourism experiences. If you are a solo woman, think twice. The hotel feels like living inside a crime flick waiting for a gang showdown to start next door.

Terrible Hotel. When I arrived the attendant quoted me $160 for the night. When I showed him I had an app that said it was $130 he magically reduce the price to $125. After taxes, he still charged me $147. I asked to see the room before I checked in . The room was not clean . The room was not ready when I arrive at 10 p.m. so he asked me to come back in 30 minutes. I came back 30 minutes later and the room looked exactly the same. There weren't even comforters on the bed. The bathroom still had toilet paper on the floor and there was hair on the sink and toilet. Also 30 minutes after I lay down I got two bug bites in my leg. I don't know if it was fleas or bed bugs, but I definitely got two bites. I have pictures of *all* of this. The next day I told the attendant of my experience and that I intended to write a bad review even if they refunded me part of my money, but I would mention that they at least tried to make amends. He said he would talk to the owner and call me back. I never heard from them. They mentioned they would have donuts and bagels the next day. I showed up at bright and early. They had nothing but stale cereal and cold coffee. You're better off staying in your car than this place.

The worst nightmare ever, I booked a room here through Booking.com 4 months in advance out of convenience. Upon arrival there was a tweeker in the parking lot waxing his truck at 11o’clock at night??! Then when checking in at the office there was multiple drug and prostitution transactions ?! Despite all this we checked in because we live 3 hours away and was at family function all day and didn’t want to drive at night. When entering our room it was so disgusting that the scene stopped us in our tracks ! One of beds was just used , all the blankets were bunched up in a pile on the bed, on the other bed was multiple stains from multiple uses and both beds were covered with hair . The restroom was straight out of a movie, the toilet seat was broken and hanging off the side of the toilet, the toilet paper dispenser was was broken off the wall with just one jagged piece sticking out making it an immediate walk in hazard and the tub had so much dirt and grime in it that made the worst construction site better to look at !! The television was broken off the wall and leaned against the wall on the dresser with no stands creating a very great potential for becoming a fall hazard . All the walls were so filthy beyond belief, all this took a fraction of a minute to know we were not staying there …..and to top it all off I couldn’t get a refund because I booked the through a third party ( Booking.com) Do not make the same mistake I did, avoid this place at all costs . Not only did I lose all my money I still had to drive 3 hours home in middle of the night!!!!! Worst it...
